IG: Clinton, aides tried to use wireless devices in secure areas (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/jun/1/inside-the-ring-hillary-clinton-aides-tried-to-use/)

You can't even bring your government issued Blackberry into a secured area. Most would lose their security clearance and be fired over it.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her aides tried to use personal hand-held electronic devices inside areas used to store classified information, according to the just-released State Department (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/department-of-state/) inspector general report.

The Bureau of Diplomatic Security, the State Department (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/department-of-state/)’s security arm, told the inspector general that in March 2009 Mrs. Clinton rejected an offer from security officials to provide her with a secure government smartphone. “DS was informed that Secretary Clinton’s staff had been asking to use BlackBerry devices inside classified areas,” said the report, released late last month.

Another portion of the inspector general’s report states that Mrs. Clinton sought in late January 2009 to bring her BlackBerry into a secure area. Instead, State Department (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/department-of-state/)officials offered to set up a computer near her office desk to check emails, although the report says the stand-alone computer was never installed.

Try again.....this time give it some effort. Oh.....and No means No. Even Simple Simon can figure it out.

Emails: Hillary Clinton asked for a BlackBerry in 2009, but the NSA said no.....

Newly released emails show a 2009 request to issue a secure government smartphone to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was denied by the National Security Agency.

“We began examining options for (Secretary Clinton) with respect to secure ‘Blackberry-like’ communications,” wrote Donald R. Reid, the department’s assistant director for security infrastructure. “The current state of the art is not too user friendly, has no infrastructure at State, and is very expensive.”

Reid wrote that each time they asked NSA what solution they had worked up to provide a mobile device to Obama, “we were politely told to shut up and color.”

Standard smartphones are not allowed into areas designated as approved for the handling of classified information, such as the block of offices used by senior State Department officials, known by the nickname “Mahogany Row” for the quality of their paneling. Mills said that was inconvenient, because they had to leave their offices and retrieve their phones to check messages.

Mills also asked about waivers provided during the Bush administration to then-Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice for her staff to use Blackberries in their secure offices. But the NSA had phased out such waivers due to security concerns.

The following month, in March 2009, Clinton began using private email accounts accessed through her Blackberry to exchange messages with her top aides.....snip~

It didn't happen in government secured areas but Hillary continued to use hers after being warned.

You're amazingly obtuse.

They should be able to tell if they were using their BlackBerries in Mahagony Row. They know Hillary was.....yet who was she emailing or calling besides her aides.

This one was from the Liberal Rag.....Mother Jones.

Clinton's staff and the State Department's security officials tried to work out a solution, but the security officials weren't convinced they could provide her a BlackBerry that she could use in her office securely. According to the Post, Clinton never had a government-issued BlackBerry, personal computer, or email account. The story describes how "the State Department security officials were distressed about the possibility that Clinton’s BlackBerry could be compromised and used for eavesdropping," and these officials wrote a memo outlining the range of risks, including the likelihood that Clinton's use of her phone would lead other employees to do the same......snip~

So?

So, don't forget that Mills lost her Blackberry phone,(some more of that negligence) and that they discovered she had a Gmail account set with her Blackberry. Then discovered she had 2 emails that had classified material in them.

Like Hillary.....Mills would disregard warnings, and rules.
