I don't think I've ever tried goat before.

But I've recently been grilling lamb chops and they are absolutely amazing.

The meat is so tender and fatty.

I don't have to season it or anything.

Goat meat is very grizzlely. I don't like it very much. Although it is much better than Canadian Tree Rats.

Goat can be good if cooked right. If not, it is pretty nasty.

Jamaicans are really the only ones who know how to cook goat.

You just haven't eaten it cooked right! I grew up eating barbecued cabrito...its really good. I haven't eaten any worth a hoot since I left south Texas!

Ay Nathan, They do call it a Goat, but I think them a Sheep. They call the short haired rolled horn sheep. I agree. When you guys came in why'd you let that political gutter snip in, close the door on his fingers next time.

Anyway I wouldn't shoot theses animals they're too good to look at.

No, we have a ranch in Nevada, but it is away from the Rubes, they're east of our place.

I'm not familiar enough with goat on the hoof to be sure, but it looks like a goat to me. I didn't see 'em until they were on the rotisserie!

Hi polWatch, The girls raise goats a couple different types. To me these are sheep, but they are called mountain goats.

I think goats are a lot hardier & self sufficient than sheep. If they are living in the mountains of Nev....they are tough critters! My son had a pet goat & I learned quickly just how smart they are. That was when I quit trying to learn how to cook 'em! (although I was tempted to shoot the thing a time or two)
