Want to End the Debate on Gun Control

The Current Situation in DC with the Democrats in congress wanting a vote on bills that they all agree would have had NO effect on any of the mass shootings has opened a golden opportunity for the GOP.

They do need to bring a bill to the floor for a vote in the house and Senate. This bill should have 4 parts to it

#1 It should allow for fast Track Due process for those individuals that have been places on the Federal NO Buy list. As process that should take no more than 2 weeks and if the persons was falsely placed on the list, the plan should have the Government picking up all of the legal fees of the falsely accused. Part B of this plan should have a slap back phase where if a persons or persons were places on the list as political punishment, those responsible should be prosecuted with a mandatory sentence of not less that 10 years and a lifetime ban on working for any government agency, elected official, or political campaign

#2 Close the Background Check Loophole. It should Flag all those that are under investigation for a 10 business day waiting period for those that are currently under investigation, So a judge can look at the information and decide if their is reasonable cause for this person to be placed on the NO buy list. Those caught using this as a political tool would be subject to the penalty listed above. Those that are rightfully on the list for Ties to Radical Groups, Mental Illness, or prior Felony Convictions, Should have access to the Due Process listed above.

#3 The bill should require Elected officials and Law Enforcement Officers to Uphold current laws regarding Firearms violations. Those officials that do not enforce the current laws on the books would be prosecuted for Adding the criminals that they released and subjected to 2 times the normal penalty for those violations, not to be served as a combined sentence.

#4 If a Terrorist attack happens because an elected official scrubbed the file for reasons of political correctness, Aiding in the attack, or To prevent the truth from being told to the public. These persons shale be tired for Treasons with all of the penalties that apply, including the death penalty.

This would be supported by the GOP, Most voters, The NRA. Law Enforcement.

But the Not ONE democrat would vote for it. And the President would not sign it.

This is what the democrats should be on file voting against.

Actually NO they agree with parts of it. And all of those parts are in my plan above.

They do not agree that what the Democrats are asking for does not allow for due process of those that are accused.

Most people know that the Democrats will use anything and everything that they can as a political weapon. Just a few weeks ago they had to admit that in fact the IRS was used as a political weapon against conservative Groups.

So if you like what the Democrats are proposing, this fixes the issues and puts harsh penalties on those that will not enforce the laws, and / or would use this as a political weapon.

So can I put you down as supporting my plan listed above?

I told you that this would end debate. The Democrats don't want to enforce gun laws because the thugs and terrorist that are committing these crimes are their friends and allies.

They don't want Due Process, because they want to use it as a political weapon.

That is why they are not posing here. It ends the debate. It gives them what they are asking for in a way that they can't use it to disarm the law abiding. Democrats have never, and never will care about criminals having guns.

I think your heart is probably in the right place, but your emphasis on putting public officials in prison (or worse, as in your #4) for offenses that would be, from a practical standpoint, impossible to quantify or describe legally makes the whole thing a non-starter.

Until such time as a person has been convicted of a felony or is under indictment of a felony, his Second Amendment rights should remain intact. They should not be stripped from him for two weeks or even two hours.

People who are legally not eligible to purchase a firearm should be denied immediately. Those who do not meet the standards for ineligibility should not be required to wait for 10 business days, or even 10 minutes.
