After Widespread Criticism for Meeting With Bill Clinton, Lynch to Step Back in Email Probe

After a firestorm of criticism on both the left and right for her secret meeting with former President Bill Clinton during an ongoing Justice Department investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server, Attorney General Loretta Lynch will announce Friday that she’ll step aside (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/07/01/under-fire-after-secret-meeting-lynch-to-step-back-from-clinton-probe.html?intcmp=hpbt1) and let non-political subordinates decide whether to bring charges against the former secretary of state.

“Determinations as to whether to charge any individual, as well as the findings of the investigation, will be made by career prosecutors and investigators who have been handling this matter since its inception,” a Justice Department official told Fox News.

The source said Lynch will accept the determinations and findings of non-political appointees as well as FBI investigators and FBI Director James Comey. It is up to the FBI to recommend to prosecutors whether to bring charges, but no timetable has been announced. Despite the approach of the Democratic National Convention, Comey has said the priority is to be thorough and fair.
Critics, including Republicans and some Democrats, said the meeting compromised the independence of the ongoing FBI investigation.

There are no such thing as non political subordinates working in the Justice Dept. They will do exactly as they are told.

Im sure all AGS are politically biased and do their best for their party. This administration and its appointees either are to stupid to know they are being blatant dirtbags to everyone. Or they just dont care and think they are GODS.

The best thing to happen to america in my lifetime is the end of the Administration in Nov

From the U.S. Attorneys’ Manual (https://www.justice.gov/usam/usam-3-2000-united-states-attorneys-ausas-special-assistants-and-agac):

The requirement of recusal does not arise in every instance, but only where a conflict of interest exists or there is an appearance of a conflict of interest or loss of impartiality.....snip~

Moreover the FBI should have a talk with Bilbo as to why he waited there to see her. Why he would try and talk to Lynch knowing his wife is under criminal investigation. If Bilbo would have been a regular Joe. She wouldn't have met with him, and especially not if it was a Repub. So why did Bilbo use his Hat to get this meeting.

As Zelmo mentioned.....Bilbo's play involves changing up Secrets Service's schedule and security. Which the FBI should mention to Bilbo.

He has no excuse.....and if he wont tell the truth. Give him a polygraph test.

Bill Clinton And Loretta Lynch Don’t Have An ‘Optics’ Problem, They Have A Corruption Problem (http://thefederalist.com/2016/06/30/bill-clinton-and-loretta-lynch-dont-have-an-optics-problem-they-have-a-corruption-problem/)

The nation’s top law enforcement official and the former president and husband of the presumptive nominee, who is under federal investigation, had a talk. Rather than conceding that such a private encounter is at the very least a conflict of interest, Democrats preemptively complained about the “optics.” Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.), for instance, told CNN Lynch “should have steered clear” and that the meeting “sends the wrong signal.”

What signal is that? Do Coons and every other politician “groaning (http://www.politico.com/story/2016/06/bill-clinton-loretta-lynch-224972)” about the optics of the meeting understand that they’re arguing for Lynch to recuse herself from the Clinton investigation? As Sen. John Cornyn (R-Tex.), who’s been pushing for a special counsel for a while, pointed out, there is a clear ethical duty for an Attorney General to recuse herself at the mere appearance of impartiality—a standard this little meeting clearly meets.

Moreover, it’s not like these two randomly bumped into each other at the grocery store or while picking up dry-cleaning. People don’t have a lot of “impromptu meetings” on private jets sitting on the tarmacs at airports. As KNXV ABC 15 television reported, Clinton heard Lynch was en route to that airport, sought her out, and waited there for her arrival. Maybe it was just dumb luck that this happened only a day before Congress released the Benghazi Report, or a few days after the Associated Press published another 165 pages of e-mails Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sent via her unsanctioned and unsecure private e-mail server and did not want anyone to see. Or perhaps, as his wife’s stories are becoming increasingly impossible to believe (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/06/28/hillary-clintons-email-story-continues-to-get-harder-and-harder-to-believe/), Bill felt the need to say a few words to the attorney general overseeing the criminal investigations of his wife. Whatever the case, the appearance of a conflict of interest or loss of impartiality is clearly present.

If you’re Hillary Clinton and you’re truly innocent, Bill’s little get-together creates even more questions about your shady conduct. Mostly, though, if you want to know why Americans don’t trust their government (http://www.gallup.com/poll/5392/trust-government.aspx), this meeting is a pristine example of why.....snip~

There are some career people there who would follow the law in spite of partisan politics, but this administration is not going to allow one of them to call the shots on this. The Obama administration is guiding this investigation. They are not going to allow an indictment of either of the Clinton's no matter what.

Lynch is respected in the legal community. She has appeared to have politicized the AG office though.

Now you know how its done. You fly into an airport to meet on the tarmac in yours or your friend's airplane. No reporters, cameramen or public. Accept this time they got caught. Thanks ABC15!

Remeber, Bill Clinton appointed her as a federal judge. She might have had an extensive interview to secure that nomination?
