Yeah, but with Christie that won't last. Christie has only been so subservient because he views Trump (rightfully) as his only real avenue to political relevance after his term as governor is up. Too many people hate him for him to run for Senate or House, which necessarily also removes running for state legislature (which would be a step down anyway). President, Vice President, or cabinet is all he has left to rebuild his image.

That's what makes him dangerous for Trump as a VP.
