When will these asshat superstitious public employee parasites stop discriminating against taxpayers who help pay their salaries?

Kentucky Judge Refuses To Marry Atheists

July 14, 2016 by Michael Stone (http://www.patheos.com/blogs/progressivesecularhumanist/author/mstone/)

A county judge in Kentucky refuses to marry atheists.

In an egregious violation of the U.S. Constitution, Trigg County Judge Hollis Alexander refused (http://www.rawstory.com/2016/07/kentucky-judge-refuses-to-marry-atheist-couple-because-they-dont-mention-god-in-their-vows/) to marry a couple because they were atheists requesting a secular ceremony.

According to a report filed by Friendly Atheist (http://www.patheos.com/blogs/friendlyatheist/2016/07/14/kentucky-judge-refuses-to-conduct-secular-wedding-ceremony-for-couple/), Judge Alexander refused to marry Mandy Heath and her fiance because they are both non-religious, and they didn’t want any mention of God in their secular marriage ceremony.

That's insane. How does that person become a judge?

Manufactured outrage.

No other judge could possibly marry them? Impossible right?

Still the judge is being a tool. And should either resign or pass the buck to another judge to do the job.

In most jurisdictions, a judge has the option of not performing wedding ceremonies. He or she can either do it or not do it - but, of course, if they elect to perform that function, they can't pick and choose which couples they want to marry...particularly if they are violating a law that bans discrimination on the basis of religion, sex, etc., by doing so.

This is like a gay couple who has friends with cake shops go to the Christian cake shop to prance like a pony over a wedding cake.

Based on the Trigg County website, he seems to be the only judge. http://triggcountyclerk.ky.gov/Pages/About-Us.aspx

And there's is no other person who could cater to an atheist wedding right?

It is absolutely impossible?

Again, the judge is being a tool. But I declare this arbitrary couple to be equally toolish.

I have no idea. Perhaps they had to drive to another county.

My bet? This couple knew the judges position and deliberately chose him to perform a wedding in order to create this brouhaha.

Co cke County TN is extremely conservative and Christian. Right after the ruling that gay marriage was legal a lesbian couple from another part of the state came to Co cke County and applied for a wedding license. It was given to them immediately, no issues whatever. I firmly believe they chose Co cke County over their home county in order to be able to be on the evening news.

I'm sorry but you are not going to block the name of this county with your stupid filters.

Right. Another manufactured crisis by prancing ponies.
