We've all seen the screeching harpie about her "Obama Phone". Are you proud, democrats? Keep them on the gov't tit forever.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/09/28/viral-video-touting-obama-phone-puts-spotlight-on-16-billion-federal-program/

The video is drawing attention to the government program — Lifeline — as a national debate unfolds on entitlements and the growing percentage of Americans who pay no income taxes and get a long menu of government benefits. But even though some beneficiaries may credit President Obama for providing the phones, Lifeline is an extension of a program that has existed since 1985. Still, critics including Rep. Tim Griffin, R-Ark., note the program has swelled from $772 million in 2008 to $1.6 billion.

coincidentally, a friend was talking about this to another member of our group this past weekend. The friend has one of these phones 'for her mother' who coincidentally doesn't get out anymore seeing as she is 90plus years old and now confined to bed. These are relatively well off people and she certainly doesn't need a free phone. I'm not surprised though. She's going to vote Obama.

The loop holes need to be closed.
There is probably a low income 90 year old who really needs the phone.

No wonder we're so damn broke. Who's gonna provide these perks when we end up like Greece?

Unsustainable spending will cause a fiscal collapse and possibly a currency collapse.

She told me that she is voting for obama for 'women's issues'. I've got an email almost ready to send to her. On top of that, she's catholic so she's historically a democrat voter. I am asking her if the price of gas is a woman's issue, the fact that 177,000 women are out of work and have stopped looking, and if the higher price and restricted food for her kid's school is a woman's issue. I don't hold out much hope in the end. I did mention at the end that election day was November 7, 2012.

Voting with her vagina?

If republican women walked around in those repulsive pink outfits as Code Oink is doing, if we had signs at the polling places that said, 'Don't vote with your Vagina' then those republican women would be mocked and they would be called outrageous and crude by the media. Since its leftist women...and ugly ones at that...i mean REALLY ugly...then, not a word.

The vast majority of women that I know do this. They are largely illiterate on any political issue that isn't related to choice and reproductive rights. If you can get them to focus a bit on economic issues, most agree with me and would be fiscal conservatives if they took the time to think beyond their narrow issues. This is one reason the GOP has made a mistake by making these social issues federal issues. Leave them at the local level where the Constitution put them.

I run into a good portion of women who vote based on that single issue. But then i also hang around with a bunch of conservative women who do not think like that. Generally they are christian. And generally they are politically oriented. My obama voting friend, as well as one other, actually send me email in support of joe Arpaijo and then they make the big ugly mistake of voting democrat. Because, they don't like politics, they find it boring, they don't want to talk about it. I find them really uninformed in that area. They hate limbaugh,, sarah palin, they love CNN and MSNBC and howard stern. If they weren't my friends, i'd have to call them idiots.

I find the political ignorance of the average person shocking and dangerous. People who don't take it seriously and educate themselves should do the country a public service and NOT vote.

True. A collapse would be worse that that.

It's so strange to me that these Code Pinkers dress up like vagina's and yet if men look at women just as sexual objects they're offended.

there is something wrong with the thinking of liberal women. Even worse though for liberal men. Liberalism in a man is just so not natural.

Is there a correlation between communal thinking and the phenomenon that happens when women who commune together over a period of time find their menstrual cycles aligning.

Women tend to think more communally than men.

what does that mean exactly. I'm a woman and i think of my family. Then i think of the country as a whole and my kids/grandkids future.

I dont' think in terms of communally for my neighborhood. I think in terms of groups of people. For instance. Neighbors that i have a connect with, friends, etc. The others. i would more than likely help, i would be gracious but i'd be cautious with any information.

We are borrowing money just to pay the INTEREST on our current loans.
The government can't begin to generate enough money in taxes to run things and service the debt.
There's no way to pay the interest, pay down the principal and fund ongoing govt. "services".
We can't even print more money...and that's just as well. It's monumentally stupid way to cover debts....Hell if they could print money, why would we even NEED to pay taxes?..but that's another issue. The FED determines how much money gets put into circulation and the more that gets put in circulation, the less value it retains...which actually steals the real money the bondholders have "lent" them, it destroys the value of people's savings.
To sum it up..
We're bankrupt.
They can keep maneuvering and cooking the books for some period of time but it's so top heavy now the whole system is going to collapse sooner or later. Anyone can see that.

When children play, girls tend to play games that encourage collaboration and working together. When boys play games they tend to play games that create winners and losers. They compete. Now take this into politics and you will see what I mean.

Obama phone video puts spotlight on FCC program. Good. about time.

Just let me remind you of the white handlers that shut up the black Seiu protestors at this event. Maybe each protestor oughta be assigned their own handler. hmmm.

Well as with all our behaviors, there is an anthropological reason. Men were always hunters and had to compete for a mate. They had to learn to be quiet and alone for extended periods of time. Women were the gatherers so they grouped together for protection and to communicate with each other and the children while they worked!

Were these gender rolls chance, or worked out by our different natures? (Not well said, I understand).

Without the music and the repetition it was all meaningless babble to me.

These aren't loop holes! These are outright corruption-based vote buying with tax payers money.

And there is the problem with Obamanomics....there is no means test. Americans love to point to Canada and scream "socialists", but here the value of that phone would be clawed back in income tax...

Oh, forgot. These free loaders don't pay any income tax....

Carry on...

I would assume these roles were set by nature. Women were the ones that carried and delivered the children so they certainly couldn't be running around leaving the base for days on end to hunt so men assumed the role. Women could gather and remain close to the home base while setting up social conditions for the family unit.

women had to nurse the children and its hard to hunt lugging a two year old at your breast.
