This one will likely get people killed.

Here comes G.I. Jane: Army accepts first women to attend school to become Green Berets

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. | Two female Army (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/army/) officers will make history when they report to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, in their first step toward earning the Special Forces (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/special-forces/) tab and becoming Green Berets.
The female officers, whom Army (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/army/) officials declined to identify, could attend their first Special Forces (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/special-forces/) Assessment and Selection (SFAS) class as early as October, though neither has yet received orders for training at Fort Bragg, The Washington Times has learned.
Col. Nestor A. Sadler, commandant of the Special Forces Regiment at the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center School at Fort Bragg, confirmed that the two female candidates had accepted invitations for the SFAS class.
“Two females met the requirements for SFAS and were nominated by the ARSOF [Army (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/army/) Special Operations Forces selection] panel to attend SFAS. One candidate declined her invitation and withdrew from the process. Special Forces (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/special-forces/) Branch asked why. On the last day to accept or decline the invitation, she changed her mind and accepted the invitation to attend SFAS,” Col. Sadler said.
At a recent Special Forces Association conference in Jacksonville, Col. Sadler said that the Army (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/army/) selection panel had reviewed the application packets of seven female officers. Of those, two were approved for the SFAS class, he said.

I bet they can't pass the land nav course. At the current standard, that is.

They didn't come up through combat arms and likely have no experience with land nav other than a b.s. course in their basic training.

The land nav course of SoF is very advanced.

Nope. I don't know a single woman or child over 10 who lacks the strength to pull a trigger

Dude...land nav isn't rocket science...the basic PVC has a good grasp of land nav... This isn't a product of the fact that women can't land nav. This is about the lack of training women receive on land nav.

So this thread is covered in douche. My wife was Military. 97G. Interrogator with language. And I'm willing to bet good money that she can run a faster two miles than any of you dick measurers.

It is what academically kills most candidates. The only thing that takes a bigger toll are the airport runs around Camp Mackall.

I said that. The women are not coming from infantry units where they would have land naved for years. They are coming from other units where they may have done it once a year and likely never passed.

I also hinted that the SoF course isn't a normal land nav course. It is much more involved.

Can she carry 135 pound pack for a two week mission, fight, and survive to get back home? If so, tell her to sign up so a woman can pass and get in.

I picked the land nav course for that reason.

And implied that they wouldn't be able to do it. It's cool...everyone...well you know your alpha and all...

I implied that the land nav course is serious shit and nobody of any gender is going to walk on and pass. You have to already have mastered the skill. Most non combat arms units don't get near mastery of land nav.

Then add on the physical add-ons.
