[URL="http://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/07/29/1553970/-Annnnnd-it-s-ON-now-Next-up-The-Debates-with-Poll"]Just last night I posted a diary which included a poll (https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailykos.com%2Fstory%2F 2016%2F7%2F29%2F1554445%2F-TRUMP-ANNOUNCES-HIS-DEBATE-ESCAPE-PLAN&text=TRUMP+ANNOUNCES+HIS+DEBATE+ESCAPE+PLAN.) asking what how people thought the Debates between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump will play out. I included 7 different options.
The very last option I included...which ended up receiving a whopping 58% of the votes...was this:

Trump chickens out of showing up at all, blaming the media/the moderator/the host network for "not treating him fairly"
Well, less than 24 hours later, guess what?

As usual, Hillary & the Dems are trying to rig the debates so 2 are up against major NFL games. Same as last time w/ Bernie. Unacceptable!

Seems to me as though the one looking to skirt on the debate is the one who wants a debate seen by as few people as possible.

And since Hillary's side wants to schedule debates right when the #1 ratings getter in any time slot - an NFL game - is on, is seems as though the Dems are afraid to have Hillary debate.

In summary, Donald is complaining because he wants the debate seen by as many people as possible.

The campaigns aren't involved in these decisions. There is an independent, bipartisan debate commission.

Debate commission to Trump: The dates are set

The Commission on Presidential Debates responded to Donald Trump and the Republican National Committee's complaints about the debate schedule with a message on Sunday: The schedule is set.

"The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) started working more than 18 months ago to identify religious and federal holidays, baseball league playoff games, NFL games, and other events in order to select the best nights for the 2016 debates," the commission said in a statement. "It is impossible to avoid all sporting events, and there have been nights on which debates and games occurred in most election cycles. A debate has never been rescheduled as a result."

Can anyone seriously contemplate this fool debating? Even republicans wonder?

"Mr. Trump doesn’t know the difference between the Quds Force and the Kurds. He can’t identify the nuclear triad, the American strategic nuclear arsenal’s delivery system. He had never heard of Brexit until a few weeks before the vote. He thinks the Constitution has 12 Articles rather than seven. He uses the vocabulary of a fifth grader. Most damning of all, he traffics in off-the-wall conspiracy theories by insinuating that President Obama was born in Kenya and that Ted Cruz’s father was involved in the Kennedy assassination. It is hardly surprising to read Tony Schwartz, the ghostwriter for Mr. Trump’s best seller “The Art of the Deal,” say, “I seriously doubt that Trump has ever read a book straight through in his adult life.""

Independent and bipartisan. Liberals say that about so much stuff that supports their bullshit.

you are aware, are you not, that the dates of the debates were set last fall, by a bipartisan commission? Hillary merely wants to debate. She is perfectly willing to abide by the bipartisan commission's schedule. Donald? not so much. He's doing the running.

the debates were scheduled a year ago.

The commission took an unusual step by defending itself in detail through its Sunday afternoon statement.
"The [CPD] started working more than 18 months ago to identify religious and federal holidays, baseball league playoff games, NFL games, and other events in order to select the best nights for the 2016 debates," the group said. "It is impossible to avoid all sporting events, and there have been nights on which debates and games occurred in most election cycles. A debate has never been rescheduled as a result."
