In his 13 months of campaigning, Donald Trump has sullied the making of a President with lies, bullying, ignorance, demagoguery and more.

He generated shock at his willingness to be ever more outrageous, amazement that he had won support, wonder over whether he could ever do something so offensive as to be toxic, and fury at amoral words and actions.

Now, there is only sorrow at the depths to which Trump has plunged U.S. democracy — and taken with him elected leaders who have always before respected country and self.

Trump’s attack on the parents of a Muslim soldier who gave his life to save comrades-in-arms breaks the heart because he has made fair-game of two nation-loving citizen immigrants whose son heroically gave his life for country — and because Republicans have held firm to Trump’s suitability for the presidency.

This is increasingly open warfare between ideologies. The media is allowing their intent to be nakedly open, as are the left in general.

This is East vs West again, homeland style. It will not end well.

All Trump did was reply to a pathetic towel head attacking him at the DNC. Now the scum is deleting his website, like the democrats do emails and stuff. Piss on mohammed.

Trump didn't do anything wrong with the Khans.

But, the kid who died is every bit an American hero. We can't forget that. And, it doesn't help to call other Americans, "towel heads." Trump has not done that -- and he won't.

The father of the fallen soldier deserves our sympathy for his loss but that's it. Nothing more. Trump need not bow down to him, just as Hillary did not bow down to the parents of one of the men killed in Benghazi.

The liberal media will be out gunning for Trump from now until the election, and while I think Hillary has a good shot at winning, I think what the media is doing will create nothing but more animosity and that all candidates from now going forward will suffer.

Khan deleting his website is interesting -- but more interesting is his continued presence in the spotlight. His kid was a hero, but he's a nobody and I fear he thinks he's more important to this election than he is.
