Republican CEO Meg Whitman Endorses Clinton, Says Trump Would 'Endanger Our National Security'

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/republican-ceo-meg-whitman-endorses-clinton-trump-endanger/story?id=41084419

"Hewlett Packard Enterprise (http://abcnews.go.com/topics/business/companies/hewlett-packard.htm) CEO and prominent Republican fundraiser Meg Whitman (http://abcnews.go.com/topics/business/CEOs/meg-whitman.htm) said she will vote for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton (http://abcnews.go.com/topics/news/whitehouse/hillary-clinton.htm) in November, calling Donald Trump (http://abcnews.go.com/topics/news/donald-trump.htm) a "demagogue" who is unfit for the presidency."

"As a proud Republican, casting my vote for President has usually been a simple matter. This year is different," she said in a statement released Tuesday night. "To vote Republican out of party loyalty alone would be to endorse a candidacy that I believe has exploited anger, grievance, xenophobia and racial division. Donald Trump’s demagoguery has undermined the fabric of our national character."

"Trump’s reckless and uninformed positions on critical issues -– from immigration to our economy to foreign policy -- have made it abundantly clear that he lacks both the policy depth and sound judgment required as President," Whitman said. "Trump's unsteady hand would endanger our prosperity and national security (http://abcnews.go.com/topics/news/us/national-security.htm). His authoritarian character could threaten much more."

Thanks to ABC News for this report.

Imho, We have to congratulate Republican Meg Whitman in making her wise decision to support Hillary Clinton instead of Donald Trump! She obviously sees that Trump is a hindrance to her political party and is simply unfit to become president. By comparison, she sees the experience, tenacity, savvy and dedication of Hillary Clinton thus has chosen her over Trump as so many other Republicans and others are now doing. That surely must have both Trump and the GOP in near frantic state with that trend obviously continuing.

And then there's this from the same report at:

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/republican-ceo-meg-whitman-endorses-clinton-trump-endanger/story?id=41084419

"Whitman went on to praise Clinton for her "temperament" and "global experience" that she said would make the former Secretary of State a "far better choice" for President."

How could he possibly endanger NS more that Bushbama and Hilary already have? She's speaking CEO code for I know Hilary is for sale, I'm not sure about Trump.

Yes, the Democrats are the party of the wealthy. Libertarians represent the rest of us.

Failed spin. That's not at all what she was talking about. Go back and read the report this time around. Republicans are flocking to Clinton for a reason. They just don't trust Trump!

Of course an establishment republican would prefer Hillary Clinton's reckless and psychotic foreign policy, among other things.

Yeah I made that decision the Saturday before the DNC when I heard about her choice of running mate, which confirmed all my worst fears. I explained my reasoning more fully here (http://thepoliticalforums.com/threads/67345-I-m-With-Another-Her) about a week ago.

That isn't to say that I think no one should vote for Hillary Clinton (as I do still think Trump much worse!), but I'm embracing a nuanced approach to this election wherein I recommend that most progressive-minded people vote for Jill Stein. The details of this approach can be found here (http://thepoliticalforums.com/threads/67599-Strategic-Voting-Plan-for-Leftists).

Well I did go back and read it again and She definitely said Trump could endager NS. That was what my comment was directed at. Are you denying that she said after posting that she did.?

This is interesting!

Suddenly, the liberals are openly lauding billionaires.

Perhaps Hillary should rethink her life-long need to suppress the knowledge that she's in the bag for Wall Street. Hey sycophants don't seem to care!

Even Communists notice that Hillary is a Wall Street pawn.

HP told some employees to choose between becoming contractors with no benefits or being fired without severance

Julie Bort | Aug. 31, 2015, 11:51 AM

A group of full-time workers, mostly hourly employees, were told in late July they were to become contract workers for contract agency Adecco August 15. If they accepted the job, they would lose all accrued vacation time and paid time off, all benefits, and all seniority. If they refused, they would be let go without severance.

The contract positions had some people taking big pay cuts; others got pay raises. Some people who were supervisors were stripped of their titles and others, some very junior, were offered supervisor positions.

Throughout 2015, Whitman has told investors she is stabilizing the unit and is committed to it. She promised to bring margins up to 7% to 9%. She's doing that through restructuring the "labor pyramid" — i.e., hiring less-expensive workers and shifting more work to lower-cost offshore jobs, she said.

Having Whitman as a supporter doesn't seem like anything to brag about.

I totally agree with Whitman; a very wise choice being that Trump is a menace to society and a moral blank.

I have to be honest, I never thought he'd get this far but i'm enjoying watching his campaign collapse and the nice thing is that it's all due to him and him alone. He has no one to blame but himself for the party leadership turning their backs on him. I'm starting to wonder how long it'll be until he drops out from the race and of course blaming everyone but himself.

He won't quit. He's not that smart.

He can still win at that, but it would take a repetition of the sort of social chaos that characterized July for the rest of the campaign and spectacularly impressive performances on his part in all the debates.
