So here's the first trailer for next year's Wonder Woman movie:

You know, after Batman v. Superman and Suicide Squad both proved worse even than the average DC picture, I was getting to be a little down on the prospects for the Wonder Woman movie, but this trailer from Comic-Con has reassured me! I like how they're playing up the feminist angle, and not just because she's supposed be an Amazonian warrior after all, but more pointedly because it means that, unlike all the other DC movies we've seen, it looks like this one will NOT be about how oppression is good for you for a change. It actually looks interesting for a superhero film! Not much like the other DC superhero material, that's for sure. If they play their cards right, this looks like it could actually be the best movie DC has ever made, at least for my taste anyway!

Oh dear God, speaking of future DC superhero movies, I just saw the first Justice League movie trailer:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIHH5-HVS9o

"I'm real when it's useful." Really? Oh wait, it looks like this movie has the same director and writing team as Batman v. Superman, so I guess we shouldn't be surprised!

As I watch this trailer, I think to myself "Stop it! Just stop trying to be Marvel! You don't have the talent! No more directing roles for Zack Snyder!"

Comparing the two trailers on this thread is like night and day. One holds promise. The other appears to already be a doomed experiment. One needs simply compare the two to see why.

You can't judge a movie by a two- or three-minute trailer, and it would be foolish to try.

Chris Pine is a great choice for Steve Trevor.

This is true. Especially with the misleading trailers for Disney movies. But if you have a nose for movies at all, you can at least often sniff out the ones with potential early on. That doesn't mean Wonder Woman will actually be a solid movie. I just mean that it looks to have potential.

Not a big movie goer, but I may check it out if it doesn't get unanimously bad reviews.

I already watched this trailer, and looked good. We hope that it becomes a good movie. Something that the last the only qualification that could get from me were: Entertaining. I could pass the time, nothing less. Completely forgettable.
