If the "news" insists on directly affecting the elections, why can't to support a third party ticket?

The 'media' is a for-profit organism. They are interested in who/what attracts viewers that the advertisers want to target. There is no interest in seeing traffic flowing smoothly but most people will slow down to look at a wreck.....same principle with the 24/7 news cycle. Nothing has changed since the basic rule of newspapers: if it bleeds, it leads. Third party candidates don't usually attract that kind of attention (with the exception of Ross Perot). Their very tendency to be serious people, focused on policies, etc. That trait is boring compared to organizations looking to attract the largest share of viewers.

Because the media is one wing of the same entity which despises things it cannot control - and that includes anyone in any 'third party' - whether they have loony views or not.

This is about full suppression and full control.

There is it wrapped up in a bow for all to read. Right on the money Polwatch but Im compelled to add one thing.

Even though exactly what Polwatch said is Gospel, the lionshare of the media elite and the most public news people are mostly all liberal and skew their reporting to the left. The medias biggest tools in supporting the liberal views is by Over reporting good liberal news, and under reporting negative and doing just the opposite with conservative news.

I'm not sure why. The media is the fourth estate. They have a responsibility as the press due to the potential power they have over politics and voters that transcends their budgets and profits.
