Politicians hate working people

Posted on August 15, 2016August 12, 2016 (http://personalliberty.com/politicians-hate-working-people/) by Bob Livingston (http://personalliberty.com/author/boblivingstonpl/)

https://plnami.blob.core.windows.net/media/2013/09/LAP2013082904_md.jpgAlthough they will claim otherwise, politicians hate working people. How else to explain the push by the elected class – Democrats in particular – to raise the minimum wage to just $15/hour?
The minimum wage plank in the Democrats’ platform (https://www.demconvention.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Democratic-Party-Platform-7.21.16-no-lines.pdf) reads:
Democrats believe that the current minimum wage is a starvation wage and must be increased to a living wage. No one who works full time should have to raise a family in poverty. We believe that Americans should earn at least $15 an hour and have the right to form or join a union and will work in every way we can—in Congress and the federal government, in states and with the private sector—to reach this goal. We should raise the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour 4 over time and index it, give all Americans the ability to join a union regardless of where they work, and create new ways for workers to have power in the economy so every worker can earn at least $15 an hour. We applaud the approaches taken by states like New York and California. We also support creating one fair wage for all workers by ending the sub-minimum wage for tipped workers and people with disabilities.

A $15/hour minimum wage for a 40 hour/week job is an annual income of just $31,200. That’s below the lowest median income (http://kff.org/other/state-indicator/median-annual-income/) of any state in America – even Mississippi. And only a few Republican politicians — like Donald Trump — are even talking about raising the minimum wage. Most Republicans don’t even pretend to want to help working people by giving them a “living wage.”
So if politicians – Democrats in particular – want to help working people....

like I was saying, a minimum wage law is destructive to the economy. It is intended to close businesses, and reduce competition.
Even if it was offered, many folks wouldn't work for it, but force people to rely solely on government for handouts. As people lose their jobs because it had to close it's doors, the unemployment rate would shoot through the roof.
The Seattle case is proof of what this article says.........

One thing is clear: We are in a lot of trouble. Never a day goes by that some pol isn't trying to hurt us. And in other news, we have low life scum rioting and burning...Obama played golf I think....

Some found that at 15 dollars an hour they made too much for food stamps....

If we artificially impose wages, won't that artificially impact prices? Where will people be then?

That article by Livingston was plain stupid. How anyone could read it is beyond.... well actually if it fits the blame narrative then of course the haters will love it.

But allow me a bit of hyperbole too. Americans hate working people. Well not really, Americans like any spoiled child love toys and status symbols and they require money. So why pay a fair wage, why build in America, why support unions, why not outsource, oh and drive status cars - status cars that support unions in other nations. Americans don't support each other so all this whining from the conservatives and the white dummies at Trump rallies is laughable. Support each other then you can speak up.

The two above must enjoy the circle jerk.

Lets do it, since we all hate "working people". Not to nitpick here, but how is us putting 70 hours a week in the office not "working people"?

so explain why that restaurant owner's business failed?
He offered and paid that magical 15 dollar and hour job and his staff didn't want to work it. He could hardly drive his prices up to meet that wage, and he still couldn't get people to work 40 hours.
