From Trump this week.

1. About president Obama spending so much time campaigning for Clinton..
"Shouldn't you be working?"

2. "We used to make our cars in Flint Michigan and you couldn't drink the water in Mexico. Now they make our cars in Mexico and you can't drink the water in Flint Michigan."

But I'd rather not have Obama working.

What make of car do you drive? And it was republican policy that poisoned Flint.

"Japan ships 1.5 million cars to America each year, but allows only 20,000 American cars into its own market. Since 2012, Japan’s yen has devalued by 50 percent against the dollar. Now Japan wants tariff-free access to the U.S. market through the TPP while it continues to cheat on currency." see American Manufacturing.org and TPP

Check how much you support America and its workers, even you.

Point 1 is a little hypocritical when they won't even hold a hearing for Garland... just sayin'.

Anyways, at least it's not golfing. Right?

How is that?

They have that right. If the Senate does not see a candidate for the Court as acceptable, they are not obligated to have confirmation hearings.

1) I've said for years that the DNC and RNC should foot the bill for all campaigning and associated travel and security any elected official does.
2) Great little line but we both know the only water Trump ever drank in Mexico was premium $10.00 a bottle, bottled water.

Republican policy poisoned Flint?

Why do you doubt that? Our infrastructure is falling apart and the only policies put forward by republicans are lower taxes and deregulation. You do understand what they mean when they say or use 'deregulation' I hope?

When the republican government made the decision to save a few bucks, they created the problem. Kinda simple, really, republican government failed the people and continues to fail the nation. Ironically this is part of the Trump phenomenon, he will raise you up.....

http://news.stanford.edu/2016/03/11/flint-water-luthy-031116/

"This Was Done, Like So Many Things These Days, So the Rich Could Get a Big Tax Break. When Governor Snyder took office in 2011, one of the first things he did was to get a multi-billion dollar tax break passed by the Republican legislature for the wealthy and for corporations. But with less tax revenues, that meant he had to start cutting costs. So, many things – schools, pensions, welfare, safe drinking water – were slashed. Then he invoked an executive privilege to take over cities (all of them majority black) by firing the mayors and city councils whom the local people had elected, and installing his cronies to act as “dictators” over these cities. Their mission? Cut services to save money so he could give the rich even more breaks. That’s where the idea of switching Flint to river water came from. To save $15 million! It was easy. Suspend democracy. Cut taxes for the rich. Make the poor drink toxic river water. And everybody’s happy."

'Except those who were poisoned in the process. All 102,000 of them. In the richest country in the world.'

You typed a lot of conjecture, false parallels and good old-fashioned baloney there, but the municipal manager, Darnell Earley, the guy who oversaw the transition from the Lake Huron to the Flint river, is a democrat.

He was the guy who was in a position to understand the ramifications of the switch, he knew the potential dangers of the results of the water testing.

No matter who was in office at at state or local level, Earley was the one with the knowledge. You can't expect City or State administrators to be crystal ball readers. They have to make decisions based on the reports they receive.

That's why Earley has been criminally charged.

He knew. And, he didn't care.

Local and state politics puts democrats in a bind that their federal counterparts don't have. Most have to work within their budget and don't get to deficit spend willy-nilly. So to say the GOP is the reason MI didn't have the money to fix the pipes is either a silly comment or a disingenuous comment.
