Mayor of Charlotte Wants Hillary to Stay Home

Hillary was all set to never let a good crisis go to waste. She planned to visit Charlotte, NC and cast her blessings upon the poor and bedraggled, dreaming of how they'd put her on a pedestal and be so thankful for her presence.

It obviously didn't dawn on Hillary that the city's security forces are stressed to the snapping point right now.

Until the mayor of Charlotte told her to stay away that is.


Clinton announced earlier Friday that she would travel to Charlotte in the aftermath of the shooting of a black man by a Charlotte police officer.
But Clinton's campaign now says that after further discussions with community leaders, the Democratic presidential nominee will postpone the trip to avoid straining the city's resources.
Clinton's decision came after Charlotte Mayor Jennifer Roberts told CNN that Clinton should postpone her visit because the city's security resources were stretched thin.

Because, despite "rumors" that he might go -- he never announced he was going. In fact, after Clinton backed out -- Trump accused her of grandstanding by planning to go.

The Mayor simply said it would be better if the candidates would not come so soon.

Only Hillary actually made plans to go.

Donald Trump quickly responded to Clinton's reversal, tweeting that Clinton was trying to "grandstand" and calling her initial decision to go to Charlotte "dumb."
"Crooked Hillary's bad judgement forced her to announce that she would go to Charlotte on Saturday to grandstand. Dem pols said no way, dumb!"
Trump was reportedly considering going to Charlotte next week but has not elaborated on those plans. He incorrectly identified Clinton's initial trip as scheduled for Saturday.
