I'll be honest, I thought they were both high as f*ck. Clinton on a cocktail of uppers and downers, Trump flying on coke.

The sniffing was weird....

That and drinking water made him look nervous.

Could have been overdoing antihistamines, but again that's what Clinton did to alleviate coughing fits.

Trump did poorly. I saw no knockout.

The murmuring today is that Trump is viewed as the winner. I admit I am surprised. We will know in a few more days.

The leftists and wonks have absolutely no idea how the average voter is viewing this race, and - by extension - these debates.

They're on the tracks, with earphones, and facing the wrong direction. It's fantastic how myopic and blissfully stupid they are.

It turns out that Trump was given a defective microphone.

The Commission on Presidential Debates reported (http://www.debates.org/index.php?mact=News,cntnt01,detail,0&cntnt01articleid=69&cntnt01origid=27&cntnt01detailtemplate=newspage&cntnt01returnid=80) on Friday that there were in fact issues with Donald Trump’s microphone at the Debate Monday evening at Hofstra university in New York.

Were you able to hear every word he said? Yes, you were. So, there was no problem with the microphone. Take it from a musician.

Audio Technica mics are wonderful. Solid state with virtually no moving parts they are bulletproof. You could use them to drive nails and they would still deliver crystal clear audio.

And the source said NOTHING about the mics being defective.

Were there problems with the mix for the live audience? Perhaps. But their job was to be quiet so those alleged problems are irrelevant.

If you prefer to say it was the sound system that is fine. Trump said part of the time he could not hear himself. Plus we heard the magnification of his sniffles. Given that it happened to Trump but not to Clinton ...

Regarding the first debate, there were issues regarding Donald Trump's audio that affected the sound level in the debate hall.

I cannot answer your question. I can tell you that the presidential commission confirmed Trump's statement.

I realize that. The Donald is just looking for any excuse for his poor performance that doesn't involve him.

If you read the article it says it only affected the volume level in the hall not the broadcast. So millions like us, heard every word. I doubt anyone in the hall missed anything either but maybe so, ok...

I did not offer this as an excuse. The presidential commission confirmed that Trump had audio problems. It is a data point that only Trump reported audio problems. Personally, I love dirty tricks.

Trump still has to do much better.

did the commission say, exactly, who was impacted by this supposed mic problem? Did the attending audience say they had a hard time hearing him?

No, trump said the mics were defective. The mics were fine. The debate commission said nothing about defective mics.

I just shake my head. Real people use imprecise language as shortcuts. So when Trump says there was something wrong with his microphone actual people understand that he is referring to the entire system. Pull your head out of you ass. Or not. I am sure you are comfortable just the way you are.

Good times.

Your response time was excellent, though!

In some cultures they hold hands and say "hanger 4, hanger4, hanger 4!" And you appear under a bridge.

Rastafarrians smoke a blunt, kill a chicken, and dance backwards around an inverted pentagram, "4 regnah, 4 regnah, 4 regnah."
