Donald Trump pronounced Nevada as "Ne-VAH-duh" during a campaign rally in Reno on Wednesday.

The crowd could be heard laughing, though one reporter said there was some confusion in the crowd.

Trump told the crowd he was saying the state's name correctly, adding that nobody said it "the other way."
A friend pronounced it incorrectly and "was killed" for it, he said.

It's not clear if Trump was simply joking with the crowd. Some (https://twitter.com/MikeHigdon/status/783816459730452481)reporters (https://twitter.com/RalstonReports/status/783826804918390784)said he appeared to be self-deprecating. He said "We love Nevada" (https://youtu.be/qc7oMALZV7c?t=3996) to start the rally, using the "Ne-VA-da" pronunciation.

A politician would have a prepared speech that sucked up to the locals and has zero sincerity. The "media" is hitting Trump on his inexperience as a politician. However, it seems Americans find it refreshing, even if not polished.

Actually, even his critics say he has a high IQ.

His problem is that he is an ass.

I've seen little to no evidence of this Hi-IQ ... all from his own Mouth, so you can blame anyone else.

He does not have a high IQ. Mid-90s, tops. Remember that IQ is a measure based on a wide skill-set, including language, and is relative to age. Also keep in mind that personal connections are far more important to Ivy League schools than IQ.

Motivation and drive goes a long, long way in this world. That is one thing that I can praise Trump for: he is motivated, and he doesn't stop working.

Trump explains how to pronounce 'Nevada,' Nevadans correct him - What a Dumb Sh!t

This is a major controversy to some Democrats.

Seriously, is this really a big deal? Maybe when Trump said that he was not running for president of the world, but the United States, he should have said he was running to be the president of all 57 states of the United States?

I would encourage you all to read about the 7 or so different types of intelligence. One of them is social/emotional intelligence. The Donald is a moron on that scale.

Its not a big deal. Just funny. We do need some occasional comedic relief from this bizzaro land of an election.

Republican CEO Of General Motors Makes Stunning Presidential EndorsementDaniel Akerson, former CEO and chairman of General Motors, says that he has always voted Republican. That is, until Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump, came along anyway. In an op-ed article for the Washington Post, Akerson explains why he will vote Democrat for his first time ever this year:

“I am the son of a World War II and Korean War veteran. As a young man, the men I respected most were my father and my uncles, who collectively fought in the Battle of the Atlantic and the invasions of North Africa, Sicily, D-Day, Iwo Jima and Inchon. I came of age in the service of our nation. I never had a draft card. I entered the U.S. Naval Academy before my 18th birthday and served in the Navy for five years. My older brother volunteered as well. Simply put, it was expected. We were raised in a good Catholic home and believed in God and country. My wife of 44 years and I have sought to pass these values to our kids and grandkids.”

“And I have always voted for Republicans for president. Not this year.”

...

“The compelling rationale behind this decision: leadership. A good leader must demonstrate such qualities as competence, integrity, empathy, character and temperament. Hillary Clinton has these essential qualities. Donald Trump does not.”

I think its refreshing. If we wanted a programmed doll that spit out pre-remembered talking points whenever their string was pulled we could vote for Clinton or any of the other establishment politicians from prior presidential races. When Clinton or Obama's strings are pulled the pre-remembered talking points they spit out even have the local accents. That's just phony.
