As the linked article explains, he's running short on funding and will shift focus from state to national level. Good an explanation as any so far.

Why do you think, bethere?

My guess is because he will likely win Ohio; and lose Florida.

Oh, and as to the latter: Any politician running ads in Florida, in the wake of Hurricane Matthew, will surely see it backfire--as it would be seen as a very crass, political move.

And while we are on the subject, Hillary Clinton did precisely that: She canceled campaign advertisements that were scheduled to run on the Florida Weather Channel: http://time.com/4521766/hillary-clinton-hurricane-matthew-pulling-ads/

He'll be a damaged loser on Nov. 9.

Lmao. That was nancy odell he was talking about in that clip btw.

But seriously, take it from bethere: Ohio has 8 ( 9 counting west Virginia for se ohio) distinct media markets. If you aren't up and running on all 9 you aren't competitive.

Why do you think, bethere?

1. He is having problems sustaining his personal business model. He isn't very liquid.

2. He needs something big/catastrophic to happen or he's toast. The man is riding out the clock and praying to Jobu to intervene.

Don't count on ohio.

That last sample was 57% white men w/o college educations.

That isn't even close to what Ohio looks like.

Trump cancelled ads in rural areas where already he has established his popularity. He is using the funds to buy ads in those areas he needs improvement.

Don't count on ohio.

It is not the proverbial "lead-pipe cinch" that Donald Trump will win Ohio.

But I think it is likely--just as it is likely, in my opinion, that Hillary Clinton will win Florida. (But I would gladly trade the two.)

RealClearPolitics, in its map that shows no toss-ups, does show Donald Trump winning Ohio: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/2016_elections_electoral_college_map_no_toss_ups.h tml

Here's a deal. I won't tell you about life on the ground in southern Illinois, and in turn, you won't tell me about life on the ground in Ohio.

I am a political consultant in Ohio. I have made buys in all 9 markets.

You probably stayed at a Holliday Inn express last night.

Nice post, but.
Unlike virtually everyone else on this forum I despise rcp.

You cannot add polls and average them to get a number that means anything.

The polls were taken at different times and have different universes, different questions, and different methodologies--much worse than apples to oranges.

This whole bit has been a risk for Donald Trump, llc!

He's all about branding, and Hillary has rebranded the living shit out of him.

This couldn't help but pose enormous consequences for team trump in the years to come.

Why would he do it? Isn't it obvious? He can clearly see the handwriting on the wall that he is going to lose and lose BIG therefore, being a penny-pincher he doesn't want to spend any more money on a losing battle!

Your status does not overly impress me. I hardly ever listen to Rush actually, but he's where I got my information today, and I think he was talking about Florida. Rush is a blowhard at times, but he's obviously way smarter than you.

Crooked Hillary has spent, what, two or three hundred million dollars to Trump's couple of tens of millions? Tonight they are tied.

Clinton is leading in almost every poll. More importantly, the electoral college predictions put Clinton far ahead.

But you "know" Trump will win?

The RealClear family of websites is my primary source of normal news. RealClear has politics, health, policy, markets, world, science, technology (now called futures), history, defense, sports, living, religion, books, and maybe more.

(I use Stratfor for foreign relations / geopolitics).

I do see the value of averaging out the polls. It typically gives us a better idea of what is going on- likely it reduces the biases in individuals polls.
