This is somewhat comforting - however, there's little question that Trumpkins would turn violent.

There’s still a real chance that Donald Trump could win the November election. But that doesn’t mean he will be our next president. Keeping Trump out of the White House would still be constitutionally possible. And it’s something our Founders would have wanted. Thanks to them, there would still be one last vote he must win.

Though some states penalize electors who don’t vote the way they are expected to and some states invalidate a “faithless” vote, 21 states have no penalty at all (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/08/03/how-a-faithless-elector-in-georgia-could-cost-donald-trump-an-electoral-college-vote-explained/). Moreover, there is nothing in the Constitution or federal law to stop any elector from voting in December for whomever she chooses, regardless of the outcome of the popular vote in that elector’s state in November.

My candidate has zero chance of winning.

That has been my political life since 2006.

Mine either - but it this gives me faith in the electoral college, which for the most part i've wanted to eliminate.

Popular vote is best - but anything to keep Trump out of the WH works for me.

Eliminating the electoral college would be a big mistake imo.

One minute they are crying that Trump is calling the election process "rigged". The next they are advocating for a rigged election.

And libs wonder why they are laughed at...
