When mothers get in the way of a good, gooey campaign story... (http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/10/10/1142665/-Romney-ignores-request-from-mother-of-Navy-Seal-killed-in-Benghazi-to-stop-using-son-in-stump-speech)
Romney ignores request from mother of Navy SEAL killed in Benghazi to stop using son in stump speech
Ignoring a request from the mother of one of the Navy SEALs killed last month in Libya, Mitt Romney today once again told a campaign audience of meeting with her son at a Christmas party two years ago.
After Romney told his story of meeting Glen Doherty during a campaign rally yesterday, Barbara Doherty—mother of Glen Doherty, one of the Navy SEALs killed in the Benghazi attack—had asked Romney to stop using her son's memory to advance his political agenda.
And today, Romney gave his response: he'd rather continue "humanizing" himself on the campaign trail than respect a grieving mother's wishes.
Most people knew about this mother's request before this presidential candidate. He is out of touch, isn't he...
Oh well, it was a good story while it lasted.
