It's amazing when the chickens come home to roost. http://observer.com/2016/11/obamacares-chickens-come-home-to-roost/ They want to blame the R's when the D's wrote this bill in secret and passed it without a single R vote.

I doubt Obama believed that when he said it. The purpose of Obamacare was to become such a big failure that the people demand universal government provided health care.

Imagine if instead of filing lawsuit after lawsuit (You may have to abstain from answering under "Conflict of Interest". LOL), our Party had worked with the President to fix all that was broken or needed adjustment. We'd be looking like all stars instead of obstructionists. If we lose the election, that's our game plan going forward. We can all but kiss 2020 goodbye with s strategy that's clearly not working.

I believe the President meant what he thought the case would be. I also believe we desperately need to have a health insurance for everyone. Clinton has acknowledged we must do major repairs to the ACA. I believe it will happen. It is the least society owes it members, the right to health care. The republicans for years said they would develop a plan, they failed to do so. If it is repealed we will prevent it's repairs and strand those who depend upon it. Trump, and the republican party have NO plan.

There have been plenty of attempts at fixing the ACA and many of those efforts have been thwarted. Some may say purposefully with the intent of it failing.

Trumps plan for healthcare in a nutshell is...I'm going to make it superfantastic!

i seem to recall that he actually knew he was lying. I recall that issue. http://www.nbcnews.com/news/other/obama-admin-knew-millions-could-not-keep-their-health-insurance-f8C11484394

Although I believe we have a moral obligation to take care of those that cannot do so for themselves, I don't agree that we owe our members that nor do I think it's constitutional. I understand you disagree.

I have read their plan. https://abetterway.speaker.gov/_assets/pdf/ABetterWay-HealthCare-PolicyPaper.pdf

We can take care of those in need who can't afford it. But we don't need to treat them the same as those who can pay.

If we followed this model (https://ramusa.org/about/) health care costs in America would drop like a rock. There are operations in remote parts of the US today. Use this model to get healthcare to those in need who can't pay.

Jim, the only people who are saying that ACA is affordable are those who aren't paying for it to begin with.

I don't think he knew any of the specifics of his signature legislative achievement. He just repeated the things he was told to say.

You're assuming Obamacare isn't working exactly as they planned for it to work.

President Obama lied when he spoke to the AMA in 2009.
"So let me begin by saying this to you and to the American people: I know that there are millions of Americans who are content with their health care coverage -- they like their plan and, most importantly, they value their relationship with their doctor. They trust you. And that means that no matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. (Applause.) If you like your health care plan, you'll be able to keep your health care plan, period. (Applause.) No one will take it away, no matter what."

"We will keep this promise to the American people."

Right.

Until we start talking to each other we're going nowhere.

When no one wants to listen you can't talk together. When only one is willing to listen you can't talk together. There has been a lot of time and energy expended by pone political party in the U.S. in seeing that Americans don't talk to each other. They're terrified Americans would find out we're all getting screwed.

After listen to Dr. Gruber explain only a fool would think the folks who lied to us were innocents.
