Power back ?? A little. It'll still take 60 Senators to brake a filibuster for SCOTUS nominee/s. To repeal/replace/fix or whatever the ACA will be contentious to say the least. Despite leftist claims of Repub lockstep there are quite a few Rinos or moderate Repubs. Financial legislation maybe a tad easier, but still Rinos and moderates could be a road block.

Just a couple of examples off the top.

Quite true, quite true, just IMO.

OH BTW I'm sure the MSM will double down on the Dons words while basically ignoring the context and message.

As an aside, been watching GMA and mostly the similes are missing when discussing politics. Kind a funny actually, in a perverse sort of way.

Interesting choice of words. I agree that the right wants power. They want to control every aspect of life. They are just fine with a fascist who wants to rebuild America from the ground up. If only the pesky constitution didn't get in the way.

Interesting choice of words. I agree that the right wants power. They want to control every aspect of life. They are just fine with a fascist who wants to rebuild America from the ground up. If only the pesky constitution didn't get in the way.

It's ironic. I've said the same thing about the left. Partisan politics aside, the left wants power. Hillary Clinton was more than proud to boast about how much gun owners disagreed with her. Yep. That pesky Constitution got into the way and she lost the race.

Don't jump on me over partisan politics, however. We knew what kind of people Hillary would name to the Supreme Court. Most of us know that the politicians are now using the Supreme Court as a major legislative tool. Because of firearms and the Supreme Court I had to vote for Trump.

OTOH, Trump wants people like Mike Pompeo to head up the CIA. While the guy has qualifications that can't be matched, he has NO respect for the Fourth Amendment and he will end your Right to Privacy forever. If you aren't in a database now, you will be.

Picking Jeff Sessions as Attorney General assures the left that they can regain the House in two years.

Trump's pick of Nikki Haley was a slap in the face of the alt right, so they can't claim they are getting any of that power. Between that and Trump trying to fit Ben Carson into some position to have the token black guy ought to tell the alt right all they need to know. Carson is an idiot. He thought he could run the United States as Commander in Chief, yet he's not qualified (by his own words) to fulfill the duties of Cabinet positions he's been offered. Let's hope he can stay awake on whatever job he accepts.

The bottom line: NOBODY won in this election and if Hillary Clinton had gotten elected, NOBODY would have won either. The third parties didn't give us anyone better, so it was - in the vernacular, a major clusterphuck.
