Why Hillary should be the winner of the election

It'll take a constitutional amendment. Asking those small states to give up their leveling tool -- I don't see it happening. It was designed for a purpose, to protect the small states against the larger states. It is working as it was designed. As for the popular vote, we'll know when the military vote is in who won.

Trump won fair and square. He is also one of the most despised people in America. So this should be fun.

So long as his establishment handlers keep him away from the press and away from the crowds and away from making most of the decisions, everything will be fine.

He does seem to have a propensity to take the bait much too often!

I agree ... Trump Won the Presidency, and The GOP has both The House and Senate.

They can't blame anyone else anymore.

Our constitutional process is a "political card trick" to this "gentleman".
Nice rant, but, as he says, we're "stuck" with the COTUS for the forseeable future.

We've "embarrassed ourselves to the world"? He has embarrassed himself as an American.

You know who the military's going to be voting for.Probably someone without the same agenda they've been suffering under for the past 8 years.
Ever recruiters were saying:"Wait until after the election and see what happens".

I won the chance for me and all my friends to have a better life in America without being thought-policed.

The US electoral system has been the same for around 240 years.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
There's plenty else that needs fixed.

Not really, not on a local level. On a national level, it wasn't designed that way. It's that simple. It protects the smaller states against the population power of the larger states.

Absolutely I do. Look at our most recent election. Going by numbers, here is the popular vote (as it currently stands):

Clinton - 60,274,974
Trump - 59,937,338

A difference of just under 350,000. But with ~120,000,000 votes overall, for all intents and purposes, this is virtually a tie. Nobody has a real victory.

But with the Electoral College the winner is made very clear for all to know right away. There isn't a real question about it. It's a highly-effective method of running elections.

Even though Hillary got the popular vote, I still like the idea of an electoral college. It evens the playing field for states with almost no population like Rhode Island and Wyoming. They still don't many electoral votes, but they get proportionately higher than popular votes.

But there are more than two models to consider.

Edit: one point per state is an example, where the first to 25 wins. Or the Ann Coulter model where only Mayflower blue bloods can vote.

Agree.

I said over a year ago that the left right debate is over. It is nationalism v globalism. I a solidly for nationalism, but the concept of fiscal responsibility has been lost in the current debate.

It's the electoral college, not the popular vote, that lets those blue areas rule over the gray ones.

Like my linked article says, it wasn't necessarily the few hundred votes in FL that gave W the office. It was just as much the flipping of WV's 4 electoral votes from blue to red!
