After an internal GOP election Tuesday, Rep. Paul Ryan has emerged victorious in his re-election for Speaker of the House. Along with Ryan, Rep. Kevin McCarthy won his re-election for Majority Leader, and Rep. Steve Scalise won re-eelction as majority whip.

The election was closed door and shut off from the press. There was no real objection to any of the incumbents running, but a few House Republicans did ask for (http://www.politico.com/story/2016/11/paul-ryan-speakership-trump-backers-230787) a delay on voting, as they felt the second day back from vacation was too soon to hold leadership elections.

While not surprising, the outcome finalizes who will be working with Trump in the House chamber for (presumably) the next two years. Their relationship started out rocky, but Speaker Ryan and Trump now have been working closely on setting the Republican agenda. In a press conference Tuesday morning, Ryan noted the two men speak "everyday."

Despite a full House vote (with Democrats included) for Speaker not taking place until January of next year, the internal GOP election is what really matters since they are the ones in power......snip~

I think Term Limits will take a constitutional amendment. They can start it, pass it and send it out to the states. It'll take years, although the 26th only took three months and eight days.

Ryan and McConnell wont send it out. Also.....now Ryan wont do anything about going after Hillary. No special prosecutor, and will allow her to get away with mocking the rule of law. Congress. Wont do anything about her people who Obstructed and played a game with Congress. Using the excuse that he is about moving the Nation forward. He would rather send out to all overseas. That the US is no longer about the rule of law.

More of the establishment same o same o.

Amusing.

As I said not long after the election, this is the GOPs Obama moment. Hope and change!

So hows that Hope and Change taking place with Pelosi and those Democrats.....at least she has a challenger, and the Demos are talking about changing up all their leadership.

Of course you didn't say to much about that. Guess you would have to be in the knowing, huh?

It won't fly and I suspect you know. In the House, the guy or gal bringing home the goodies reigns king or queen. Us Midwestern folks just call it, "bellying up to the bar". Hence Boehner and ultra-ultra right sidekick, Jordan pushing for those A1M1's to fill open parking spots out in the SW graveyard. Bringing home the bacon!

I agree....but that wont be happening anytime soon. Jeb Hensarling should have challenged him. Ryan is just more of the Status quo. Moreover he caved to the Demos and then let them get over on him. Patty Murray knew how to handle him and his budgets.

The only good news with it is.....the Demos are in disarray.
