Democratic donors call for Clinton campaign post-mortem (http://www.politico.com/story/2016/12/hillary-clinton-campaign-donors-post-mortem-232715)The wealthy Democrats who helped pump over $1 billion into Hillary Clinton’s losing effort want answers. (http://www.politico.com/story/2016/12/hillary-clinton-campaign-donors-post-mortem-232715)

They donated billions and expected to win. Now they say they need to know what when wrong or they may not give in the future.

But in the weeks since, the wealthy Democrats who helped pump over $1 billion into Clinton’s losing effort have been urging their local finance staffers, state party officials, and campaign aides to provide a more thorough explanation of what went wrong. With no dispassionate, centralized analysis of how Clinton failed so spectacularly, they insist, how can they be expected to keep contributing to the party?

“A lot of the bundlers and donors still are in shock and disbelief by what happened. They’re looking for some introspection and analysis about what really happened, what worked and what didn’t,” said Ken Martin, chairman of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party and a top campaign bundler himself. "It may take some time to do that, but people are still just scratching their heads."

Or, in the words of a Midwestern fundraiser who’s kept in touch with fellow donors, “A lot of people are saying, ‘I’m not putting another fucking dime in until someone tells me what just happened.’”

:smiley:They are as bad as the rest of the whiners. The fact is they placed a bet on the wrong horse and lost. It almost sounds like they thought the mob had the race fixed and they couldn't lose but the mob pulled a fast one on them. The grifters got grifted.

Blaming the loss on Putin and Comey keeps them from doing a real autopsy.

Great observation.

The election was won by the candidate that told the voter what he/she wanted to hear, not what he/she should hear.

They are going to blame the Russians. Trump and the Russians were in cohoots.

After all, everyone knows elections are bought. Clinton up coughed more than a billion dollars for the win. It rightfully should be hers. Going along with that meme will allow you to ignore or examine the real reason(s).

Its heartening how much money the big dem donors have pissed away. It will make them far more leery in the future. Soros is still pissing his money away.

Ive enjoyed this even more than watching the Koch Bros and Simon Adelsen piss theirs away

Funny, really. These clueless insulated wealthy leftists chose to support a fatally flawed, uncharismatic unpleasant and ill corrupt woman who made strategic campaign errors one after the next as a result of her and their endemic feelings of entitlement and arrogance, and - as entitled and arrogant people often do - cannot help themselves but look outward for the cause of their defeat.

Your candidate didn't get murdered, progs. She died of self-inflicted natural causes, despite the heroic and utterly corrupt efforts of the MSM to keep her on life support.

It's not as easy as it used to be to cover up corruption.

That is fine with me. The longer the Democrats remain in the dark the easier it will be to complete their destruction.

That sounds like most elections.

Remember the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC)? They were the organization developed to stop the leftward direction of the party. What happened to that organization? Did the hard left which dominates the Democratic party just ignore them?

They were largely purged from power in the party.

That might have been a mistake.

Well to be honest Clinton's only message was trump is a bad man. She did a poor job of almost everything.

Fuck her and fuck the Left.

That's was surprising seeing as the DLC was Bill Clinton's baby.

It's interesting that they have temporarily doubled down on the demonstrably disastrous "white people suck" theme but I think this was a calculated move to resuscitate the base after the shock of defeat. Democratic stratgeists can't be this foolish.
