I used to pick up lotto tickets from gas station trash cans, when I was on hard times. An average of 300 to 500 tickets on a round around town, could yield around 30 to 80 $.
People don't read em right. If I can net that much in this po dunk town on any given day, what about statewide?
Do they accurately report these unclaimed funds. Bwaa haa haa!

It was my pleasure to know that every ticket I rescued and cashed did not go to the state from some poor shmoes math error.

I detest lotto. Rich men gamble on wallstreet with other peoples money. Less rich men go to Vegas.
The poor man goes to the gas station, for low wager, low payout gambling.
Sell you a dream for a dollar. OOHHH, ya gotta be quicker than that.

But there is a huge margin of fraudulent accounting, did you see my postings about unclaimed winnings?
I'll add DEA and BATF (or whatever they call it these days.) The lotteries are just a scaled up and fancied up numbers racket. The big mobsters took it away from the little mobsters and showed them how to make real money. The odds of winning pale into insignificance compared to the numbers games. The big mobsters share their take with their friends in the advertising agencies and the people they allow to run the whole thing are the ones that paid them the most for the privilege. Government is organized crime on a level Don Corleone could never have even dreamed of.

Currently: the CIA, the FBI, the DEA, the Department of Commerce, the Department of Finance, the Department of Education (I'm particularly sorry to say), and the Department of Homeland Security. The Education Department can be reformed. The rest cannot.
Under Donald Trump: everything.

He'll be President in two and a half weeks, Polly, please refrain from jumping the shark with such an unsubstantiated (and, I'd argue dishonest) prediction when you literally have not the first clue what these government agencies WILL BE like under Trump. Maybe he'll get rid of them all on his first day and start all the way over with real accountability in a very small canopy agency to deal with the absolute minimum government needs to provide. This post makes you look real foolish.
Having said that, every government entity is about as corrupt as humanly possible, AFAIK. That's why I'm anti-government and don't at all understand big government elitist lefties.

None of the things that my government has done in my lifetime is deserving of any kind of praise. None of the agencies are any exception. The FDA allows the shittiest food on shelves where every product has heaps of sugars and sodium and preservatives. The DEA locks up people over the pettiest drug crimes while the DoJ let's the worst criminals go with extremely shortened sentences and I don't know what the fuck government agency is responsible for making the cost of killing a lowlife scumbag cost more than just locking them up for life. Crush proven rapists and murderers with a wrecking ball in the streets and let people pay to see it to compensate the cost. I'm 25 and I can figure this bullshit out. Why do we even have agencies like ICE with so many illegal immigrants here? EPA? And still the environmentalist wackos tell us the planet is dying? Why isn't the EPA doing their job? Fire them all and enforce them to personally repay all the tax dollars they wasted.
Fuck government.
/Edit: At the state level, Nebraska is great. We are highly Conservative. For instance, when we built our current capitol building it was already paid for. No debt accumulated. That's how government should work. My state gets a gold star from me.

Judging from the fact that two of those years have "0" dollar amounts on them (and that the dollar amounts also change from year to year) I'm going to say that money is for renovation type projects and not ongoing payments because of money still unpaid. Could be Centennial Mall, too. I know some of the documents for that project consider it to be part of the capital (fixed). That would explain the $43,000,000+ figure for the next year because that project is definitely still in the construction stage.
/Edit: I'm almost positive now that's what it is. Every other number here that isn't an "infrastructure" type thing is very steady. Those numbers are the only ones with such great variance.
And just look at the increase on the beginning balance. Yes, I'm very proud of my state.

The federal reserve isn't a department. It should be abolished. If it were audited I'm pretty sure it would be.
The Department of Defense. Its not what it was meant to be. Its an Orwellian corruption of the original Department of War.
The United States Department of War, also called the War Department (and occasionally War Office in the early years), was the United States Cabinet (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Cabinet) department originally responsible for the operation and maintenance of the United States Army (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Army), also bearing responsibility for naval affairs until the establishment of the Navy Department (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Department_of_the_Navy) in 1798, and for most land-based air forces until the creation of the Department of the Air Force (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Department_of_the_Air_Force) on September 18, 1947.
The Secretary of War (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Secretary_of_War), a civilian with such responsibilities as finance and purchases and a minor role in directing military affairs, headed the War Department throughout its existence.
The War Department existed from August 7, 1789[1] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Department_of_War#cite_note-1) until September 18, 1947, when it split into Department of the Army (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Department_of_the_Army) and Department of the Air Force (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Department_of_the_Air_Force) and joined the Department of the Navy (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Department_of_the_Navy) as part of the new joint National Military Establishment (NME), renamed the United States Department of Defense (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Department_of_Defense) in 1949.
"Defense" sounds better to a lot of people but it has gone far beyond defense hence its Orwellian name. Make it the Department of War again and allow it to make our military a force that is second to none. Make it powerful enough to conquer the planet if necessary. Then only allow it to be unleashed if a situation is so dire that congress declares war and once that happens we use it to its fullest and then immediately come home again. Peace through strength. Congress unconstitutionally ceded that power to the executive branch and they need to take it back ASAP.

There is no need to further deflect, and come to the aid of one of your cadre. If he cannot defend himself, he should simply gracefully bow out of the conversation, as his flaccid attempt to impugn Nebraska's political ideology demonstrates would have been wise.
