Why now when Obama’s team is moving out is the United States slapping Israel in the name of Middle East peace? Shouldn’t U.S. foreign policy decisions at this point be shifting into the hands of the incoming Trump administration? At a time when the United States and the rest of the world are facing an increasing danger from radical Islamic terrorism, Obama’s decided to attack and undermine Israel,America’s longest-standing and by far most reliable ally in the Middle East (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/current_events/israel_the_middle_east/voters_are_less_concerned_about_effects_of_u_s_sup port_for_israel). At issue is Israel’s settlement policy on the West Bank which has been a sticking point in negotiations with the Palestinians for years. Israel understandably is furious.
Obama also has chosen now to take a hardline against Russia for allegedly hacking sensitive internal e-mails that embarrassed the Democratic Party, although he stops short of saying it influenced the election. Russia has denied the charges, and even the U.S. intelligence community appears conflicted over whether the proof is there.
When Clinton alleged in the second debate in October that Russian hackers were trying to tilt the election (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/general_politics/october_2016/most_say_media_not_russians_tilting_the_election), most voters didn’t buy it and thought it was more likely the U.S. media was trying to swing things for her.
Why now when the Obama administration is about to pass into the pages of history is the president turning up the heat on Russia? Is he just trying to settle scores because 71% of Democrats think it’s likely the Russians helped Trump win (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections/election_2016/democrats_see_russia_as_election_culprit_others_do n_t)?
Given the timing, it’s hard not to feel Obama is just trying to cause problems for the new Republican president since neither of his actions is going to solve anything, and both are very likely to be quickly repudiated by Trump.

Voters believe U.S.-Israeli relations have worsened under Obama (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/current_events/israel_the_middle_east/voters_say_obama_bad_for_u_s_israel_relations_trum p_better), but they’re optimistic that they will improve under the next president.
As for Russia, voters here remain suspicious (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/current_events/russia/fewer_voters_say_russia_is_america_s_friend_in_fig hting_isis), but they have long worried, too, about the outbreak of a new Cold War (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/current_events/russia/is_another_cold_war_on_the_way). Trump has said he wants to lessen those tensions and believes Russian leader Vladimir Putin is a world leader he can work with.

Suddenly on the eve of Obama's presidency, he becomes aggressive with Russia's Putin when in the last eight years he's rolled over whenever Putin made a move. Notice Obama has said nothing about the N. Korean announcement today. Then there's the fact that China hack the OPM and stole information on 20,000,000 Federal employees. Obama hardly blinked. I'm very glad that this man's tenure has finally come to an end. I will still be expecting the other shoe to drop until one hour after Trump takes his oath of office.

I predict that Donald Trump and his supporters will spend every waking hour trying to compare Trump to Obama for the next 8 years.

I will be fun to watch such a great tribute to an individual who wasn't even born in the US, but esally Won Back-2-Black Presidential Elections by 9.5 and 5 MILLION Votes.

 Or so they say

Actually, Obama did nothing about the UN resolution, which would seem consistent with your opinion that US foreign policy decisions should be shifting to the Trump camp.

Why would we want to dirty Trump by comparing him to The Kenyan, the worst president in the history of our country? Results will speak for themselves for Trump. An adult will be in charge who is a leader.

Shhhh, Crow, you are not supposed to ask such questions about any war . You are especiallly not supposed to ask if we are winning or losing. The "wars " on terror, poverty and drugs depend on you NOT asking those questions or "GOD FORBID ask for empirical evidence of success .
All that matters to the establishment is that there is war to fuel the megacorps anfdtherefore political careers. Period.

such is the nature of the game.

And a game is exactly what it is. 70 plus years of nukes, only one world leader crazy enough and souless enough to use them on people . But for over 70 years nuke nations have been safe from invasion and I don't see that changing tomorrow despite what the fear mongers have to say.

It seems that the article wasn't as correct as thought at the time of posting. Obama's initials are all over the wiretapping of the Trump campaign Headquarters during the 2016 presidential election period. Obama who claimed a smooth transition to the Trump administration has left "land mines" all over Washington for the new administration to trip over. I continue to be amazed at the illegal methods that Obama and his appointees have used for the last 8 years, from Fast and Furious to the wiretapping of the Trump Campaign HQ.

Wehrwolfen: "Why now when Obama’s team is moving out is the United States slapping Israel in the name of Middle East peace?"

It wasn't in the name of peace. The President who hates America simply wanted one last jab at an American ally. He also shit on the Cubans by announcing people escaping the communist dictatorship would be returned. I'm sure his allies, Iran, Hamas, Castro brothers, and until he timely death, Hugo Chavez are sad to see him out of office.
