I can name myraid things I base my mistrust of the government on just off the top of my head here's 20.
1) Watergate
2) Whitewater and subequent lack of action.
3) Ruby Ridge
4) Waco
5) Fast and furious
6) The fed continuing to lower interest rates in the teeth of a housing "boom". Called inflation in most industries.
7) Missing money from federal agencies
8) The horribly incestous, shameful relationship between many government regulatory agenicies , the very industries they regulate and "K" street
9) NSA secret spying
10) NSA continuing to spy once exposed
11) A government pledged to protect whistle blowers hunting them down instead.
12) The false premis for the Iraq war 2.0
13) The behavior controlling, sell out tax code
14) The "too big to fail " bailout"
15) Hilary's home computer being used to e-mail and store classified documents.
16) The intentional infection of US citizens with syphillis
17) Constant open influence for sale, now made worse by the Orwellian named "Citizens United"
18) Arms for hostages
19) Money for hostages
20) The due process limiting unpatriot act.

But what do those of you who actually trust the government base that trust on? Doesn't trust need to ne earned? And then reearned when it's violated? And isn't there a point where too many violations making reearning said trust impossible?

The answer is simple, cradle to grave.

Cowards readily surrender their rights and liberties for perceived, promised security and convenience.

Like dogs they wag their tails and pant for the opportunity for a table scrap.
