Keep in mind that Buzzfeed does say;

"includes specific, unverified, and potentially unverifiable allegations of contact between Trump aides and Russian operatives, and graphic claims of sexual acts"

"BuzzFeed News reporters in the US and Europe have been investigating various alleged facts in the dossier but have not verified or falsified them."

"It is not just unconfirmed: It includes some clear errors."

"The documents have circulated for months and acquired a kind of legendary status among journalists, lawmakers, and intelligence officials who have seen them."

https://www.buzzfeed.com/kenbensinger/these-reports-allege-trump-has-deep-ties-to-russia?utm_term=.ssrmozAn7#.anxa7m05E

As an aside these 'memos' have been around for months. We don't know how long Intel agencies may have known and no verification or substantiation.

I said elsewhere that all of the investigative reporters are skeptical.

Trump just tweeted: I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH RUSSIA - NO DEALS, NO LOANS, NO NOTHING!

Which is completely counter to what's known.

Russia has never tried to use leverage over me. I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH RUSSIA - NO DEALS, NO LOANS, NO NOTHING!

I think this is when a Experienced Lawyer tells the Client to Shut The F'ck Up

This is a CIA psy-op. Their goal is to discredit and undermine the Trump presidency and in doing so prevent a US-Russian detente. It's so obvious at this point.

I have come to the conclusion that the sitting politicians in this country hate Trump for the simple reason he is not a politician, he is not one of "them". Until we change the make up of Congress we will never move forward and away from the slavery of the progressive.

It's counter to what you imagined. You clearly cannot come to the correct conclusions.

Perhaps the most interesting -- and reassuring -- thing about the "release" of the memos is the backlash Buzzfeed is getting from other leftist media outlets.

Granted, CNN, Buzzfeed acted with the worst possible integrity, rivaling that of Dan Rather and his stick-to-my guns fake news about GWB -- a mistake that resulted in Rather retiring with his tail between his legs.

What surprised me about this latest debacle, however, is not how right-wing media outlets are denouncing it -- but how left-leaning outlets are pointing out the incredible lack of integrity. Keep in mind that CNN leaked debate questions to Hillary, so they've firmly established themselves as pond scum for the time being.

It is a shocking breakdown of journalistic ethics.
Even Mother Jones declined to publish the full details and dossier.
"Even Donald Trump deserves journalistic fairness," tweeted David Corn, Mother Jones' Washington Bureau chief.

As if that wasn't enough, Ben Smith, the author of the article - admits it's likely not true.

"As we noted in our story, there is a serious reason to doubt the allegations," he wrote. "We have been chasing specific claims in this document for weeks, and will continue to."

"Not how journalism works: Here's a thing that might or might not be true, without supporting evidence; decide for yourself if it's legit," tweeted Brad Heath, an investigative reporter for USA Today.

http://www.lifezette.com/polizette/buzzfeed-runs-error-laden-unverifiable-trump-russia-claim/

This has gone from being a childish reaction of the MSM to true obsession.

New York Post journalist, John Podhoretz, a guy who doesn't care for Trump -- put it in perspective:

Readers of this newspaper know well not to include me among Trump’s supporters. But the scurrilousness of what BuzzFeed has done here is so beyond the bounds of what is even remotely acceptable it should compel even those most outraged by Trump’s political excesses to come to his defense and to the defense of a few other people mentioned in these papers whose names are also dragged through the mud.
There is literally no evidence on offer in these memos or from BuzzFeed that any single sentence in these documents is factual or true. What’s more, we know most major news organizations in America had seen them and despite their well-known institutional antipathy toward Trump, had chosen not to publish them or even make reference to them after efforts to substantiate their charges had failed.

This is it -- exactly. But, I'm seeing so very many who are hanging onto this as if it was a life jacket in their own stormy political sea.

From a long-time voice of experience:

I’ve been a newspaper and magazine editor for 31 years, and like many in my profession, have had occasion over the course of four decades to work with people linked to intelligence agencies both domestic and foreign when they are retailing stories injurious to one or another politician or cause.

In my experience, there is no source of whom you need to be more skeptical, and whose information you need to verify to the letter before you can even begin to think of publishing it, than an “intelligence” source.

"In my experience, there is no source of whom you need to be more skeptical, and whose information you need to verify to the letter before you can even begin to think of publishing it, than an “intelligence”

So when this criteria is used, is the article genuine or is it not?
The answer depends on who is reading it and their political leanings IMHO.

Not really Beevee, the answer depends on what is 'fact' and what is 'supposition' and Buzzfeed made it clear it's their supposition.

Although Buzzfeed acknowledged that the memos were unsubstantiated, it's interesting that they could be real because we know what Trump is like.
