Well Giuliani was finally given a spot on Trump's Team. Albeit without a title being made. What say ye?

President-elect Donald Trump has picked former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani to form a team of private sector cybersecurity experts.

He was selected because of his private sector cybersecurity expertise, a Trump transition team statement said.

Mr Trump has said he plans to create a cybersecurity team within his first 90 days in office.

Thursday's announcement from the president-elect called cyber-intrusion "the fastest growing crime in the United States and much of the world" and said it was a "major threat" to national security.....snip~

Apparently Giuliani's own website is seriously lacking security.

Some of these "best people" Trump has been appointing will need to appoint or hire some "best people" of their own, as they don't know how to do the job they've been appointed to.

Is there a link on Giuliani's apparentness with his own site?

Are you kidding? The name "Giuliani" has been synonymous with cyber-security for decades. What a superb pick.

I'm just gonna leave this here.

Do You Know Someone Suffering From “Trump Un-acceptance & Resistance Disorder” (TURD)?

Know the signs, spot the symptoms, and save a life.

TURD is a pattern of pathologically dissociative and psychotic behavior, first observed in the late hours of November 8th 2016, and increasing in severity with passing time.

Sufferers of TURD often exhibit pronounced cognitive dissonance, sudden bouts of rage, rioting, and uncontrollable crying.

People with TURD are characterized by a persistent unwillingness to accept that Donald Trump is going to Make America Great Again.

TURD Is caused by the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States of America. For many, both in America and worldwide, this was a shocking and unexpected outcome; their preferred news sources having failed to inform them that the alternative candidate was a criminal parasite in such ill health she got chucked into the back of a van like a kidnap victim.

Research is ongoing, but TURD appears to correlate closely with the following environmental and behavioral factors:

1. Membership in the Democratic Party

2. Identifying as a Feminist

3. Currently enrolled in college, and/or Possession of a Liberal Arts college degree.

4. Living in a densely populated metropolitan area.

5. Massive student debt.

6. Spotty or non-existent work history.

Patients with TURD are very resistant to treatment, and dangerous in large groups. Any possibility of treatment requires that they be separated from their hive-mind support apparatus; they cannot begin the process of accepting reality in the presence of encouragement towards delusion and irrationality. Separation may require the assistance of law enforcement.

If you have a friend or loved one suffering from TURD, urge them to seek treatment. Together we can beat this scourge, and Make America Great Again.

Cool. Another whine.

I didn't get that from Facebook btw, though it doesn't matter where it has been posted. It fits, because words mean things.

Addressing the topic regardless...

This appointment seems to be more gratuitous than anything else. I am very happy with the majority of other selections. While Guiliani couldn't possibly be a sufficient expert in cyber-security, he is an expert in hard security, and he's an excellent leader/delegator. I'm sure he filled IT positions during his time as Mayor of NYC.

I really have no doubt that the actual work of securing our communications and sensitive information is going to fall to more than competent delegated entities.

Rudy Giuliani to lead Trump's cybersecurity team.....
The conventional wisdom says that we need to take information security more seriously and prepare against cyber warfare. I think we also need to be prepared to handle the dis-information war. We are being bombarded with false and fictitious stories which are intended to create chaos and weaken our resolve.

The commander of Cybercom is a flag-ranked position.

Earlier I mentioned cyber offensive warfare is like strategic bombing. Notice US Cyber command falls under stratcom.

From your link Common Sense

"Robert Graham, of Errata Security, points out on his blog that it's possible that the site isn't being directly run by Giuliani or his team, however. "But here's the deal: it's not his website," he wrote on his blog. "He just contracted with some generic web designer to put up a simple page with just some basic content. It's there only because people expect if you have a business, you also have a website."

What's that famous saying ?? Oh yeah, I remember, What difference does it make ??
