THE BIG IDEA:
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio—Back in May, the longtime chairman of the Mahoning County Democratic Party sent a private memo to leaders in Hillary Clinton’s campaign warning that she was in grave danger of losing not just Ohio but also Pennsylvania and Michigan unless she quickly re-tooled her message on trade. His advice went unheeded.
“I don’t have to make the case that blue collar voters are, to put it mildly, less than enthusiastic about HRC’s positions on trade and the economy,” David Betras wrote in his 1,300 word missive, citing her struggles in recent primaries.

Yep, they thought she would be his 3rd term. Also she couldn't get around what she said about the Coal Industry along with the Peep. Then she tried parsing her statement and as a last ditch effort told them she would be for all Americans.

Evidently those Demos in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky weren't fooled this time around. They know the Demos were going to destroy their livelihoods and their towns and way of life.

All of the Blue Dogs that voted for Trump.....should get back out there and start shouting the illiberals down and letting it be known that the illiberals are unhinged.

Hi, When you say "they won't recognize their flaw" They did and tried to tell her, but she wouldn't listen.

There are people, I know them, you must too, that have come form a family who've been Democrats since way back when. Our, my, family always used Ivory Soap, 99 44/100% pure. I still use it. Ivory soap hasn't changed, but the Democratic party has. Along with being a Democrat was the other party was the wrong party. Can you see that renouncing a party that has gone strange is more difficult than changing brand of a product, there is the accepting the other, without accepting that they too have changed and may now be where the party that is now gone crazy was before losing their way.

Well, see what you can make of that. And have a great day.

It's so absurd that the defeated progressives don't get this and would rather blame putin.

And they won't be smart enough to recognize their flaws.

They are going to double down on those flaws.

They are going to double down on those flaws.

The GOP did/does the same thing.

On one hand I want to think that voters are becoming a little more sophisticated, that they're finally demanding more from their parties but I'm a realist. Show them something flashy and they'll distract.

Not as much as Mrs. Clinton.

You misspelled "Rodham".

Had she married a guy named Joe Lopenyatz, nobody would ever know she even exists.

They are going to double down on those flaws.

They are going to keep losing middle class Americans then.

They are. It is going to result in a crack-up of the Democratic Party.
