MLK’s niece: I voted for Trump (http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2017/01/mlks_niece_i_voted_for_trump.html)
So people don't vote who they are told to vote for it seems.

The latest media-manufactured controversy surrounding President-Elect Trump involves Congressman John Lewis, who won’t be attending the inauguration because he believes that Mr. Trump will be an illegitimate president. (He reportedly believed the same about George W. Bush.)

American Thinker editor Thomas Lifson has written a very good piece (http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2017/01/sorry_but_i_do_not_concede_moral_authority_to_john _lewis.html) about how the congressman shouldn’t be considered immune from criticism simply because of his background as a civil rights leader.

Lifson writes:

The American left created a claque around [Congressman Lewis], requiring any serious discussion of the man to include a disclaimer as to his heroic status and infallibility…. This made him the perfect voice to go where no elected representative should go following the operation of the constitutional machinery for picking a president.

As a Catholic commentator and pro-life advocate, I asked Evangelist Alveda C. King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and a pro-life leader (she serves as director of Civil Rights for the Unborn, the African-American outreach for Priests for Life, and Gospel of Life Ministries), if she hopes Mr. Trump will be a pro-life president.

Evangelist King graciously responded as follows:

I pray that all polar opposites learn to Agape Love, live and work together as brothers and sisters—or perish as fools. While I voted for Mr. Trump, my confidence remains in God, for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Prayers for President-elect Trump, Congressman Lewis, and everyone including leaders.

Obviously, Evangelist King believes that Mr. Trump will be a legitimate president.

That John Lewis also thought Bush was illegitimate provides some context in his attack on Trump.

Good for her, it's refreshing to see that those benefiting from the civil rights movement have the strength and smarts to separate themselves from the establishment that means to keep the facade of injustice around because... well, it's convenient.

Yup, John Lewis lied on national tv when he said Trumps inauguration would be the first he didn't attend. He skipped Bush's also.

She's an American citizen, she can vote for whoever she chooses. However misguided she might be.

Quite a few things he was hypocritical about. He demanded the impeachment of George Bush for authorizing the NSA to conduct wiretaps without a warrant but was silent when Barack Obama did the same thing. He didn't even criticize Obama for it. That's just one example of his hypocrisy.

That is what many say about blacks voting (D). They get nothing for it.

Lewis, it seems, is very narrow minded. I get it that he's upset about Hillary's loss, but he's taking this too far. Fortunately, disgruntled commentary does not automatically become law, so Lewis will just have to swallow his disappointment and do the job he was elected to do.

Yep and Garcia of the BLM said, the Demos only use them for Photo Ops. Seems the blacks are waking up to the fact just how the Demo Party is ran by deviates.

They are entitled to their opinions, just like you.

Personally I think the same thing about anyone who makes less $250K and votes republican.

Not sure why.

I think more people should vote third party, so there is that.
