“Under my plan, energy costs will necessarily skyrocket.”

California gas prices at record levels – even higher than Hawaii.

quote:
“…the average cost of a gallon of gasoline in California is still a whopping 56.5 cents a gallon higher than the old record for Oct. 22, which was set last year…”

Taxcutter notes:
It can get worse.

Quote:
“…another big player in the California refinery industry may be looking for buyers and hoping to leave the state.”

“…Valero is looking for buyers because of a looming regulatory requirement…”

"California has been and will continue to be a difficult state to do business in" because of such regulatory hurdles…”

Taxcutter says:
To paraphrase Cueball Carville: It’s the regs, stupid.

Our local newspaper today had a front page story about America being the number 2 producer of oil in the world. Odd timing...and is it really true? Now if it is true, why don't we feel relief?

Obama: “Under my plan, energy costs will necessarily skyrocket.”

Energy Sec, Stephen Chu: “Somehow, we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.”

Who's side are they on? NOT OURS.
