Trump says he discussed taking hands off Obamacare to hurt Democrats in 2018

Source: CNN

President Donald Trump said Thursday that he talked with House Speaker Paul Ryan about waiting to repeal the Affordable Care Act but ultimately decided against it.

He said he believed the move could have hurt Democrats politically.

"We're taking them out of a big jam," he said about efforts to repeal and replace former President Barack Obama's health care law.

As you can see, it's more important to hurt Democrats than help Americans

Making America Great ... Again !

Right, where are all of the Obamacare cheerleaders now?

It's pretty much a proven fact that the ACA failed.

But the failure was spread equally and that was the goal.

Maybe that was the LW textbook answer but at the end of the day the middle class picked up the tab as usual.

Right. The middle class and healthy young people picked up the tab and the availability and quality of the care received by those who actually realized a benefit dropped dramatically.

Misery spread equally.

It really isn't.

It really isn't.

Even Rodham admitted it during the (I believe) second debate.

She said to the extent "elect me and I'll see that the ACA is fixed".

Why would the ACA need fixed if it isn't broken?

Does bethere wonder?

Any program would need fine tuning. In a less heated environment this would have been done already.

I wonder why she didn't just say that "I'll fine tune the ACA" instead of saying she'd fix it.

Maybe because they are the same thing.
