View Full Version : DNC race: Low on energy, ideas, imagination......

The party is in deep trouble, but you wouldn't know it from the bland race for Democratic National Committee chair.

The Democratic Party is in crisis, hollowed out at the state level, and desperate for new ideas, bold leaders and a cutting-edge plan of action against Donald Trump.

The race for Democratic National Committee chair is bland and bloodless. The seven candidates are downplaying differences and offering conventional ideas they all agree on.

Go local. Pursue a new 50-state strategy. Something about cybersecurity. Organize. The list goes on, but the pitches share one thing in common: they’re not very complicated, imaginative or a break from the past.

The seven-candidate field, which shows no sign of winnowing, includes Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison, former Labor Secretary Tom Perez, New Hampshire party chair Ray Buckley, South Carolina party chair Jaime Harrison, Idaho party executive director Sally Boynton Brown and former Fox News analyst Jehmu Greene and South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

The fact that the DNC hasn’t had an open race for 12 years, and is busy trying to figure out its existing rules at the same time it works out its new identity isn’t helping either. There are just 447 people who’ll have a vote when they gather in Atlanta the last weekend in February, and though the race is being turned from the outside into a vehicle for the party’s rolling existential crisis, it’s still going to be decided by a collection of local chieftains with their own parochial interests and hands out for cash and attention — and that’s what the candidates have been catering too......snip~

More of the same O same O coming from the Democrats. Nothing new, and doubling down on their old ideas. Good Times. http://www.politicalwrinkles.com/images/smilies/michaelj.gif

Translation:

"I'm feeling kinda low because the president Vladimir and I elected is a dumbass and I can already see he's screwing things up badly so I'm gonna bash on the defeated candidate to make myself feel better."

I doubt that's Politico's Translation. But at least Pelosi did follow thru with the leftness tactic of blame someone else.

Christine Pelosi, a DNC member from California, blames the moderators at the debates so far whom she says haven’t forced any of the candidates to confront the really difficult questions about themselves or the future of the party.

“If we don't cringe now, we're going to keep losing,” she said......snip~

Now note....how that is a Democrat translation and not some shit made up from your mind.

You should answer that question.....its clear you don't like the criticism from your own kind. Or Politico pointing out what is taking place with that party you support.

The Democratic Party needs to be abandoned. We need a fresh blood party to serve as the GOP's chief opposition.

Out of their candidates.....I don't think we have to worry about that.

Not if the Neo Cons are sent back to their home, or made irrelevant.

Democratic National Committee Asks a Question on Twitter, Immediately Regrets It.....

Social media disasters (http://www.inc.com/erik-sherman/how-to-sidestep-your-impending-social-media-disaster.html) are surprisingly easy to come by. Organizations often misunderstand what people want (http://www.inc.com/erik-sherman/is-your-social-media-marketing-a-turn-off.html) and are frequently tone deaf to the potential impact of their messages.

We've seen tons of examples when companies have put their foot in it right up to the knee. The latest comes from the world of politics. The Democratic National Committee decided to reach out to its affiliated voters on Saturday, January 28 -- as implications of Trump's ban on refugees from a number of Muslim-majority countries (http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/27/politics/trump-plans-to-sign-executive-action-on-refugees-extreme-vetting/index.html), such as the prohibition of some green card holders from returning to the U.S. (http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/28/politics/donald-trump-executive-order-immigration-reaction/) after traveling became clear.

The DNC isn't a company, but is an organization that can provide a great object lesson. At a time of massive protests and legal actions, all within the first week of the Trump presidency, the DNC wrote this: " We want to know what YOU want the future of our party to look like and what you want from our next Chair. Tell us:".

Lawyers have a saying: Never ask a question in a courtroom for which you don't already have the answer. Surprises can be nasty. So can answers to a tweet. The ones the DNC received were so bad, the paint must be peeling off the organization's walls. Here are some examples -- and although the answers are political in nature, because this is a forum about business, the point is to show just how deep you can sink in little time.....snip~

You better hope not, they are sure to be elected.

Not with the way these Demos are sounding off with their tweets. But then we don't mind that many of the left is blind and deaf to what their own people are saying.

Nor that they can't see the warning signs all around them.

One should notice that NONE of these marches were organized by the democrats nor was the democratic party name attached to them. I'm reading this as a deliberate attempt for those liberals and progressives to disassociate themselves with the Clintonian democratic party. The writing is on the wall.
