It won't change any minds among the Trumpkins, but it's worth a read none-the-less.

Exposé: FBI made payment deal with former MI6 spy who authored
controversial Trump dossier
Thursday 2nd March, 2017 | WASHINGTON, U.S. - According to reports, the FBI had a short-lived agreement to reimburse some of the expenses of former British intelligence operative Christopher Steele, who authored a controversial dossier allegedly containing confidential personal and financial details of President Donald Trump's ties to Russia.

However, the deal ended abruptly when the former MI6 spy felt the bureau was not doing enough to investigate Trump's ties with Moscow. Further, as the dossier controversy snowballed, communications between the bureau and Steeled ended. No money changed hands, sources said. According to sources familiar with the matter, Steele wasn't hired as an informant with the FBI, instead the arrangement focused on compensating him for his expenses.

U.S. intelligence agencies, prior to Trump assuming office, had reached a consensus that the Russians had meddled in the U.S. presidential election by masterminding hacks of Democratic Party email accounts. They had also reportedly briefed both the incoming and outgoing president on the issue. Although Trump said information in the dossier was "fake news," based on "phony facts” - the FBI appeared to consider information in the dossier worthy of further investigation. He even suggested that the intelligence agencies had some role to play in the leak of the dossier - to which, outgoing director of the CIA John Brennan had said, "Was I a leaker of this? No."

Contents of the "leaked" unverified dossier were published by certain news outlets in January, which subsequently became the subject of numerous news stories. The unverified document also reportedly contains confidential personal and business details of the president-elect, including videos of him taking part in sexual activities. According to reports, Steele had a highly successful career working undercover in Russia, London and France for the British spy agency. Since leaving MI-6 he has been a director of Orbis Business Intelligence, a private London-based security and investigation firm, which was founded in 2009.

The former spy is also claimed to have carried out investigations for U.K. financial regulatory authorities in emails seen by EurActiv.com. Soon after the dossier was leaked, Russia's foreign minister labelled the U.K. ex-spy "some runaway crook from the MI6." Meanwhile, the FBI and Congress are investigating any U.S. involvement with Russia in its campaign of hacking, leaking and fake news. Trump aides deny that they colluded with any Russian officials. An FBI spokesperson declined to comment.

This won't change anyone's mind nor is it meant to. This is designed for people like you, Crepitus. It's meant to keep you mobilized and convinced that Trump is not your legitimate President.

Crepitus doesn't get it. He thinks this is a hard hitting Trump exposé rather than a piece of propaganda designed for people like him.

It is quite funny how they shout the accusations, but whisper the fact that there's no evidence other than the accusations them self.

This is how and why the media is losing more credibility almost daily.

Official: Trump briefed on potentially compromising report...

Kremlin says it has no compromising dossier on Trump
January 11, 2017 - The Kremlin said on Wednesday it was "total nonsense" that Russian officials had assembled a file of compromising information on U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.

Two U.S. officials said on Tuesday evening that the heads of four U.S. intelligence agencies had last week presented Trump with classified documents which included unverified claims that Russian intelligence operatives had compromising information about him.

Addressing reporters on a conference call, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the dossier containing the claims was a hoax which had been dreamt up to further harm U.S.-Russia relations, which are already at their lowest level since the Cold War. "It is an attempt to damage our bilateral relations. It is pulp fiction," said Peskov, who also roundly dismissed as false assertions in the dossier that he himself was heavily involved in running a Russian campaign to undermine defeated presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. "You have to react to this with a certain humor, but there's also a sad side to this. Hysteria is being whipped up to maintain a political witch hunt."

Peskov said the Kremlin did not engage in compiling compromising dossiers on anyone and was focused on building relations with Russia's foreign partners instead. On Tuesday evening, Trump dismissed the reports that Russia had compromising information on him. "FAKE NEWS - A TOTAL POLITICAL WITCH HUNT!" he wrote in a Twitter post. Asked to respond to the prospect of new U.S. sanctions affecting Russia's oil and gas sector, Peskov said such measures, if they happened, would damage Russia, bilateral ties, and the global economy.

The Russian energy sector would definitely get compensation if such sanctions were imposed, he added. Peskov said the Kremlin was unfazed by reports that Trump's pick for secretary of state, Rex Tillerson, would say at his confirmation hearing on Wednesday that Russia posed a danger. It has previously praised Tillerson, who has experience of working with top Russian officials in the oil sector.

Peskov said the Kremlin stood by its assessment of Tillerson as someone who was willing to listen and was constructive, but was aware he was likely to be a tough operator too. "We understand that Tillerson will continue to be quite tough in pursuing his line," said Peskov, saying the Kremlin was not wearing rose-tinted glasses when it came to the former U.S. oilman.
