One of these days, Islamophobes are going to understand that MANY of these folks are highly skilled in the medical and technology fields.

SAN FRANCISCO — Expressing their discontent over President Trump's executive order on immigration, 97 tech companies — including giants Apple, Google, Microsoft and Facebook — filed a joint court brief Sunday opposing the new rules.

The amicus brief, filed Sunday evening in the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco, lauded the drive and creativity of USA's immigrants and said that while protecting the nation through increased background checks was important, maintaining America's fundamental commitment to welcoming immigrants was also critical.

"The beneficiaries are not just the new immigrants who chose to come to our shores, but American businesses, workers, and consumers, who gain immense advantages from immigrants’ infusion of talents, energy, and opportunity," the case states.

Waste of time. Not to mention it's not a "muslim ban".

8 U.S. Code § 1182

“Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by president. Whenever the president finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, the president may, by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”

Oh i am certain that Trump and his minions won't listen and don't care.

But this information will most certainly be included and considered in the additional arguments requested by the 9th circuit. ;-)

Then it's you who won't listen and doesn't care. You need to read and understand 8 U.S. Code § 1182 not Trump and his minions.

Yep, it is and it even gets better. Those 97 companies don't mean shit when it comes to the law.

The government responded that, whatever Microsoft's hiring preferences, the law is clear:
The [Immigration (http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/section/immigration) and Naturalization Act]'s carefully reticulated scheme provides for judicial review only at the behest of an alien adversely affected, and even then only if the alien is subject to removal proceedings. Under longstanding principles exemplified by the doctrine of consular nonreviewability, an alien abroad cannot obtain judicial review of the denial of a visa (or his failure to be admitted as a refugee). It follows that a third party, like Washington, has no "judicially cognizable interest" in such a denial.
In other words, a state cannot stop a president's national security directive to satisfy the wishes of a particularly big business in that state.

We'll see what the 9th (and possibly SCOTUS) has to say about it hanger. In the opinion of many including myself, it is highly unconstitutional.

Nothing wrong with instituting a temporary ban until an effective background check system is developed.

Of course a company or companies would like to keep advantages, even if they are against the interests of the American people. That doesn't make it OK.

America First, in spite of Corporations or foreign ideology, America will not be better for Americans if it is changed into what the Communist coven has in mind.

The ninth circuit is the most activist left wing court in the country. Their view of whether or not something is unconstitutional has nothing to do with the actual US Constitution. They can claim that the second amendment is unconstitutional. They are completely predictable.

The issue will ultimately end up in the Supreme Court.

Wait until the 9th discovers that SCOTUS has already ruled on this, and that they don't have a leg to stand on. SCOTUS isn't going to overturn themselves.

Check out that link I gave Hanger.

The question should be, why aren't we training our own young (and old) students on the same level as India and Asia, for example? IMO, tech companies importing workers says more about our educational system than not. Our kids are being dumbed down, and that needs to be reversed pronto.

You think it's because they are smart. I think it's because they are cheap.

Interesting how quickly the left become fans of big business when it suits them...

50+ years of consumerism has won. The education system has trained people to be consumers and workers, not citizens.
