It's not the money that's being spent on education, it's the quality of education that we're getting for the money that we spend. If you hire idiotic socialist-leaning educators who care more about "Heather Has Two Mommies" than "2+2=4" then you will get a bunch of idiotic, socialist leaning kids who can barely scrawl out their names. This is what unionization has done to our education system. It damn near takes an act of Congress to fire anyone, so the stupid teachers get to teach our children along with the few decent teachers willing to go into the jungles and sewers that are our current school system.
Throwing more money at that situation will not improve anything as long as the lefty teachers refuse to give out real grades because it may hurt Little Johnny's or Little Suzy's self-esteem.

By the way, one Florida starts testing based on race and gender, can anyone see this situation improving? What good would the resulting higher test score be if blacks, latinos, etc are tested at lower levels just so that they can get a better score? Isn't that racism at it's very worst?
When I was in school, I sat besides blacks, whites and latinos. We all read out of the same books, listened to the same lectures and got the same homework. I got the same grades as everybody else. How is that discrimination in any way??
