A spokesman for Neil Gorsuch confirmed to CNN that Gorsuch expressed concern about Trump's remarks during a meeting with Sen. Richard Blumenthal (http://thehill.com/people/richard-blumenthal) (D-Conn.), after Blumenthal first told reporters about the nominee's reaction.

On Saturday, Trump ripped the "so-called judge (http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/317899-trump-attacks-so-called-judge-over-travel-ban-ruling)" on Twitter, saying that the ruling that halted his executive order was "ridiculous and will be overturned."

Only for the unwashed.

Is your role here to just be a douchebag 24/7?

At least members like Eddie contribute real material in between douchebaggery.

You can do better. A friend of mine believes in you.

President Trump needs to tell the judges he will not regard their unconstitutional meddling in the President's prerogatives. If they come to unconstitutional conclusions the president needs to proceed as if they were nothing more than a bunch of chattering old ladies.

Gorsuch

Then I agree.

Then I agree.

Trumps comments don't bother me and the LW media is just shitting their pants again over a non-politician president being a non-politician but I'm encouraged over this guy's display of independence and unity with justices.

He's saying "I'm not a sock puppet".

Turump's comments bother me. Obama's comments at the SOTU bothered me as well. They are unbecoming. At least Obama generally carried himself presidentially. Trump needs to follow his lead.

He won't, he's Donald Trump in case you forgot.

Judges aren't sacred cows, they are not immune from criticism and if Trump sticks his foot in his mouth, those justices are more than welcome to shove it down further, which Gorsuch did basically.

It is an opinion like all other opinions.

I think it is time for presidents to fight judicial tyranny. The court has no authority to intrude. They need to butt out.

Methinks he's saying what he knows somebody wants to hear.

Demoralizing?

That is what I am thinking. Kind of goes to show that he isn't afraid to stand up to the President... which will help bring some of the opposition around to considering him?

Even if true, he cannot be happy with the comments.

I don't know. He seems to be the type who is very against trying to legislate from the bench or allowing personal opinion to interfere with what the Constitution says. From what I understand, the 9th circuit is widely known as an activist circuit.

I just have a feeling that both the words Trump used, and those that Gorsuch used were just as much politics as the questions the judges were asking last night.

i don't know. The attack on the judiciary is unseemly. I think judges make tough decisions all the time that are perceived as political. To be attacked personally i net bristles most.
