I have heard your case has noisy fans with reliability issues. Everything else looks good to me but I'm not really any sorta expert.

Can a SSD be magnetically degaussed?

Fear profits a man nothing.

These are all parts I picked from Newegg, with help of course. It's not a gaming computer per se, but close to it. I want to run Win 7 on it. I collect a lot of data, from various sources; a) text from Word to basic ASCII to .pdf, b) images, jpg, TIFF, psd, bmp, png and raw. c) Video like avi, mkv, avchd, DivX, etc. and d) business finance and imaging software such as Photoshop. I own two 4TB external HDD's. I'm looking at wanting to use the PC as a central data source.

`
Yes it can (to my knowledge) but I don't see the sense in that considering that degaussing renders the HD, totally useless. If it comes down to that, I might as well burn or otherwise destroy the entire device.

sounds like you've got a handle on it. There's been an issue with installing Win7. You have to make sure your computer clock is in sync with the internet time, or else your SSL certificates will not be accepted making downloads and updates real difficult to impossible to get.
message 80072f8f error...............that means you must make sure your computer and internet clocks are set the same.

Our firm's IT guy made this for me. I was tired of the firm's computer hanging up so I went off program and got my own. I'm cutting and pasting from his email with the links, so if they don't work any longer, I'm sorry.

Good afternoon! Ive specced out a monster of a machine for you, its priced around $1015 without mouse/kb or speakers. If you would like some new ones I can find you a good deal. Here is the part list;

Case; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119233&ignorebbr=1

I can try to find something more understated if you wish, but this is the best case ive found in years, especially for the money, I would compare it to cases worth three times more.
