View Full Version : Is this idiot Romney for real?

Or does he love in a deluded state like Texas?

[QUOTE]TOLEDO, Ohio — The ad from Mitt Romney (http://elections.nytimes.com/2012/primaries/candidates/mitt-romney?inline=nyt-per) showed up on televisions here early Saturday morning without the usual public announcement that both campaigns typically use to herald their latest commercials: Chrysler (http://topics.nytimes.com/top/news/business/companies/chrysler_llc/index.html?inline=nyt-org), a bailout recipient, is going to begin producing Jeeps in China, an announcer says, leaving the misleading impression that the move would come at the expense ofjobs (http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/30/us/politics/gop-turns-fire-on-obama-pillar-auto-bailout.html?ref=politics&_r=0#) here.

First, Ohioans love Obama for saving their jobs.

Second, Chrysler - unlike Romney himself - is not exporting jobs to China.

Romney incorrectly told a rally in Defiance, Ohio, late last week outright that Jeep was considering moving its production to China. (Jeep is discussing increasing production in China for sales within China; it is not moving jobs out of Ohio or the United States, or building cars in China for export to the United States.)

It is a small miracle that anyone votes for this cretin.

But God likes small miracles.:wink::wink:

In a Bloomberg interview, Jeep's president said the automaker plans to restore Jeep production in China, suspended in 2009, and is considering making all Jeeps in China. "Fiat SpA, majority owner of Chrysler Group LLC, plans to return Jeep output to China and may eventually make all of its models in that country, according to the head of both automakers' operations in the region," reported the business wire service.
Mike Manley, chief operating officer of Fiat and Chrysler in Asia and president of the Jeep brand, told Bloomberg (http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-10-21/fiat-says-china-may-build-all-jeep-models-as-suv-demand-climbs.html), "We're reviewing the opportunities within existing capacity" as well as "should we be localizing the entire Jeep portfolio or some of the Jeep portfolio" to China.
Chrysler builds Jeep SUV models at plants in Michigan, Illinois and Ohio. Manley said the firm is in talks with China's Guangzhou Automobile Group Co.

that doesn't make sense. you're just going on now with no sense to what you're saying. Look. You don't live here. You say you hate the us and americans. Then why put yourself thru this. You're coming on as some kind of crazed fool. Make your life less stressful and just go away. you're not winning any friends here and frankly no one cares what you think. You are a johnny one note and a pretty boring one at that.

you'd be more productive to concentrate your energy on improving conditions in your own country. Do something constructive.

You people are nuts. You are so wrapped in ideology you have lost all touch with any reality.

Any political party that would consider putting Sarah Palin one step from the presidency, having already elected one of the worst presidents in history, is a party that does not deserve to survive.

Palin was not only a deeply-bigoted, stupid and ignorant woman, she was also a psychopath. BBC Channel 4 last year produced a chilling documentary (called "Sarah Palin. You Betcha!") about this woman that showed just how mentally-disturbed and dangerous she was.

Yet you clowns tried to get her elected. How can anyone take you seriously?

See your not quoting romney correctly he said “Chrysler to Italians who are going to build Jeeps in China.” Well we are not going to stop building jeeps in the US we are going to start making some in China. Its funny to see Obama supporting building things in China over America.

But Mr. Romney does raise a valid point. If Chrysler is resuming production of Jeeps in China for the domestic market, doesn’t that necessarily mean it won’t be exporting vehicles from the United States to China? And won’t that eventually mean fewer jobs in Ohio?

“Right now, every Jeep is built in America by an American and sold to the world,” Mr. Romney’s top campaign strategist told The New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/30/us/politics/gop-turns-fire-on-obama-pillar-auto-bailout.html). “Now, instead of adding jobs in Toledo, they will be making Jeeps in China by the Chinese and selling them in China.”

Not enough Americans seem to believe Romney is for real, including several Republican luminaries. I applaud their judgement.

Three polls in Ohio on Friday put Obama head, the latest a CNN/ORC poll had the president on 50% to Romney's 47%. Nate Silver, the New York Times pollster, increased Obama's chances of winning to 80%.Republicans (http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/republicans) were bemoaning the days lost to the campaign because of hurricane Sandy, providing an opportunity for Obama to appear presidential and dominate the news cycle. They blamed Romney's lost momentum on the storm and its aftermath, though polls suggest it had stopped well before Sandy hit.
The dominant issue on Friday was the publication of new jobs figures showing an increase of 171,000 in October, better than predicted, although not good enough to prevent the overall job rate rising slightly from 7.8% to 7.9%.
The figures provided a small boost to Obama at the end of a week when he won plaudits for his handling of Sandy, including from Republican New Jersey governor Chris Christie, and the endorsement of New York mayor Michael Bloomberg.

The only question now is whether Hilary Clinton will also win in 2016.
