Amazing a democrat involved in passing obamacare is truthfull and admits obamacare is killing rural america financially.

Former Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius agreed to two points made by NBC’s Chuck Todd: a) Americans in rural America are getting financially killed by Obamacare. Bill Clinton was not incorrect in saying that the law is the craziest thing in the world (https://townhall.com/tipsheet/mattvespa/2016/10/04/bill-clinton-obamacare-is-the-craziest-thing-in-the-world-n2227868?utm_source=thdailypm&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nl_pm&newsletterad=); and b) health care choice is a rare event outside of the cities. Remember during the 2016 election, where the former president ripped Obamacare, saying that middle class families can’t afford it because their level of income does not allow them to accept the subsides under the bill.
“You’ve got this crazy system where all the sudden 25 million more people have healthcare and then the people are out there busting it, sometimes 60 hours a week, wind up with their premiums doubled and their coverage cut in half,” said Bill at a campaign rally in Flint, Michigan last October.

Current HHS Secretary Tom Price defended (http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/first-read/hhs-sec-tom-price-nobody-will-be-worse-financially-under-n732376?cid=eml_nbn_20170312) the new GOP replacement bill on Meet The Press saying, “I firmly believe that nobody will be worse off financially in the process that we're going through.” Guy will have more on this later this morning.

I had honestly never thought about insurance options in rural areas until I read an article fairly recently. That seems to present a challenge for any health care plan that is like the ACA or what the GOP is putting together. It is not as though they can shop around for insurance or physicians. Perhaps Obama forgot about rural America for the most part, but I don't know that the GOP will do much better. Trying to make federal legislation that is "one size fits all" is problematic, which is why this should be done at a state level. If the federal government wants to force it they should just pass a bill that says states must provide X by a certain date via legislation but can get there however they want - which is what Canada did, actually (which is why every province and territory has a different kind of healthcare system).

My friend that passed away and I look after his wife in the sense I give her advice.
He moved to W virginia when he retired so he could afford 100 acres he was a hunter and fisherman.

He came to rue the day he moved there. First he could never sell his house and property no buyers. There was one Family Dr within 45 miles and no Specialists and no hospitals. It was fine until he got sick. Then to make it worse the family Dr closed his practice and left the state.

Many rural areas have no choices and there are drs that refuse to take obamacare.

Stan Brock's Remote Area Medical (https://ramusa.org/) has a program adapted for rural America. It is a great way to get health care to people on the cheap.

Americans need to get use to the idea that "free" services (like health care) do not need to mirror those provided under the best health insurance policies.
