its none of their dam business. Her family who has custody of her has lined up adoptive parents. The young woman, mentally disabled...whatever the h that means, wants to carry the child to term. Court is overstepping their bounds. The family has this taken care of.

This is how it began in the 1930s. Once we're desensitized to dealing with our "human problems" with the harshest of means we need nothing more than a man with a compelling presence to illustrate the the "problem" is in fact in a school of thought or an ideology. A religion or a race.

I was going to point out that forced abortions among the mentally ill as well as other groups were common in the Third Reich, but the article in the OP has that one covered. Great post, CJ.

These people stick their noses in where they are neither needed nor wanted and then they are absent when there are actual cases of child abuse and neglect that result in death. How can you be so consistently wrong.

If you believe that an epileptic woman with the mental age of 6 and severe alcohol problems can make rational decisions --- good luck .
The case is far more layered and detailed than the OP hints of in his summary position .
The idea that a system that desperately considers all action consequences gives us a taste of the Third Reich is misinformed , cheap , sensationalist and disreputable .

Mistakes can and will be made , but once you become aware of the full details , it is wrong to slip in to prejudice and bigotry as though they give answers to types of problem that require the wisdom of Solomon to solve .
