View Full Version : The Democrats’ ditch is only getting deeper......

More hard reality for the Demos. Their base knows now that the Demos aren't even going to try and hold up Gorusch and that he will be confirmed. Their base also knows that the Demos wont be able to stop the replacing of BO care. That BO the peeps signature legislation will be thrown into the shitter. That the Historic Peep will be nothing more than a passing phase.

Their base sees they have no leadership and nothing more than some posing and babbling for the cameras. They know now their resistance is just some butthurtin. That they wont be able to get Trump out of Office nor stop his agenda, and they now know they cant count on Repubs to hold Trump back. The Demos should start preparing for more backlash, and know now. They will have their very own, making sure they lose even more seats in the Senate and the House. Good Times for the country and the entire planet. What say ye?

Democrats in Congress are digging themselves a ditch that keeps getting deeper. There’s no good fight to be had on Judge Neil Gorsuch, they’re getting steamrolled on repealing and replacing Obamacare, and their base has lurched to the far left, fully outside their grasp. The result? An out-of-touch leadership that can’t stop babbling. And for all the Trump administration’s miscues, Democrats haven’t laid a glove on the president. They couldn’t appear any weaker.

On Monday, Gorsuch presented (http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/supreme-court-nominee-neil-gorsuch-s-confirmation-hearings-begin-n735716) himself as a consensus-builder, a true jurist. He continued yesterday, describing himself as nothing less than “a fair judge (http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/21/politics/neil-gorsuch-supreme-court-hearing/).” But liberals are overreaching in trying to paint him as a judicial tyrant, an anti-working-class villain. All they are doing is posing for the angry left. They aren’t even attempting to block Gorsuch’s confirmation. Doing so would be a pointless exercise. Rather, they are just trying to get on the record as “resisting” President Trump.

Democrats are clearly lost, with no sense of direction. Their efforts to oppose the GOP agenda have failed, and their base knows it. Writing in the Hill yesterday, Jonathan Easley describes (http://thehill.com/business-a-lobbying/324903-for-democrats-no-clear-leader) Democrats as having “a leadership vacuum at the top.” He’s right. The Democratic base has lurched so far to the left that the party’s establishment now looks foolish trying to catch up. The only good news I have for my friends on the left is that in politics, things are never as good or as bad as they appear......snip~

The Democrats are lacking a truly eloquent homicidal drunk like they had to smear Judge Bork. Now they're stuck with Sen. Schumer, Sen. Sanders, Sen, Clinton, Sen. Warren. Oh, and Rep. Pelosi and Waters.

It's unfortunate for Democrats that while Sen. Ted Kennedy can still vote, of course, he can no longer give voice to eloquent lies.

The Demos have their base telling them they will be facing primaries from their own. Already they say their leadership is doing nothing more than babbling.

The illiberals of the leftness have decided.

Hoping Trump kills off the GOP is nothing more than chasing a wet dream.

Just because the leftness avoids all those threads showing the Demos problems for what they are. Doesn't change up their reality.

How soon they forget, huh?

[Progressives are threatening primary challenges for Democratic lawmakers who don’t commit to full obstruction of President Trump’s agenda. Democrats already face a daunting 2018 landscape, with 10 senators up for reelection in states that Trump won. However, the threat of primaries foes going up against vulnerable Democrats such as West Virginia’s Joe Manchin further complicates the party’s chances of coming out with a net victory.
But the party’s left flank is convinced that a full embrace of progressivism is the only way to return to power, and it is ready to fight for the party’s soul.
“We fundamentally reject the assumption that Democrats can only win in red states by pandering to racists and big bankers,” said Claire Sandberg, a co-founder of the progressive political action committee We Will Replace You.
“The way we beat Trumpism and take back Congress and statehouses is offering a coherent vision of our own to put people back to work. … We don’t need to completely compromise our own values and principles.”
We Will Replace You is the most visible effort gearing up to back primary challenges from the left.]

It seems Manchin is one of the most visible targets, especially since he voted for some of President Trump’s most controversial cabinet nominees. He broke with his party to vote for Steve Mnuchin (http://www.cnn.com/2017/02/13/politics/steven-mnuchin-senate-confirmation-vote-david-shulkin/) for Treasury secretary, Rex Tillerson (http://thehill.com/blogs/floor-action/senate/315942-manchin-to-support-tillerson-for-state-department-post) for secretary of state, and Jeff Sessions for attorney general; the latter being anathema to liberals. Right now, opposition to Neil Gorsuch, Trump’s nominee for the Supreme Court, seems to be the litmus test to this civil war that’s about to erupt......snip~

Golly, no, I wouldn't expect you do see Democrats doing anything that will shine a bad light on them because for you they can do no wrong. Bringing Obamacare with Dr. Gruber and lies, corruption in the IRS, Fast and Furious, inviting teenaged thugs to enter the U.S. illegally, ruling with a pen and phone, VA Healthcare, Benghazi, Libya, Iraq, were all shining stars for the Democrats...in your eyes.

To be a liberal you must reject optimism. Everything is doom and gloom. You see misery all around you. There's no hope for the future.

You should feel sorry them.
