23,000,000 to lose healthcare (Medicaid) over the next decade, says CBO scoring.

Actually, 23, 000,000 taxpayers who financed the Obama giveaway to free loaders of federal Medicaid insurance will likely be able to buy their insurance back they lost because of exploding premiums caused by Obamacare.

Actually, I do believe that THE STATES are supposed to pick up the Medicaid insurance program for the teenagers at McDonalds and Obama’s unemployed and the 23,000,000 freeloaders subsidized by federal block grants.

Of course Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are preaching the absurdity of Trump’s murdering of 23, 000,000 American destitute folk because of “TAX BREAKS FOR THE RICH.”

The leftist propaganda and bald-faced lies is oh so predictable.

So the CBO is now composed of liberal propagandists?

Who knew?

The CBO has consistently been wrong in their analysis on issues surrounding health care legislation. They consist of people who believe in big government as the solution to all issues. They should be politiely, but summarily ignored.

And you think they're non-partisan, right? There's no such animal in Washington D.C. as a non-partisan. The CBO bean-counters are all appointed by partisans and they're never even close in any scoring they deliver. Furthermore, healthcare premiums will never go down as long as the preexisting condition regulations are in the law and the politicians from either party screw with it. Furthermore, the federal government has no constitutional authority to even be involved in healthcare. It belongs to the States and or the people and there's no such thing as a "right" to healthcare.

How would you fix America's healthcare?

How would you fix America's healthcare?

Immediately eliminate for profit insurance companies and go national.

That's a bit of moving the goalposts since we were discussing the CBO.

Take away profit motive and prepare for mediocrity.

Don't take the profit out of care. The insurance companies don't provide care.

That sounds like market reforms I prefer.

Bring back the old catastrophic plans that Obama killed.

No, that is the point. Government run health care means no innovation, no R&D, no breakthroughs. Doctors will be forced to work for the government at a mere pittance, there would be no specialists, either. Sorry, but I'll take freedom and individual liberty for $500, Alex.

Except that you are massively underestimating the price at $500.

So is the US the only place where innovation in medicine is taking place?

Of that supposed 23,000,000, how many would lose health insurance because they choose to? Should people be forced through the power of government to purchase a product which they don't want?

Well then why is auto insurance required?

False equivalency.

No one tells you that you are required by law to own an automobile and drive. Plus, one can self insure if you have the means.

And if you don't have the means? Presumably you don't drive or use the walkways, bridges, infrastructure, water on tap or anything else paid for by the taxpayers?

In most states the bond you post for not having insurance is nominal. Of course you will having serious liability issues if you cause an accident.

Still, there is no law which says everyone is required to drive an automobile. If I need transportation, there are several options available other than driving myself.

Where I grew up many people just drove and didn't concern themselves with state law or insurance.

Many still do.

Still connecting the ACA to laws pertaining to the requirement to obtain proof of financial responsibility or auto insurance in order to drive legally is a false equivalency.

Plus, no one is fined for not driving and failing to purchase auto insurance.

The family car when I grew up didn't have seatbelts.

And you could have drove that thing into a locomotive and walked away.

When I was young many states had State auto insurance it was minimum coverage for 50 bucks. Everyone I knew had State insurance then.
