Amendment 64 (in loose terms) says that marijuana should be regulated in the same manner as alcohol. Now... I've seen a few posts on here from both sides, I want to know what the majority of you think.

Here's my argument:
Simply put, America is a free nation, we're supposed to be as free as possible. I am a pot smoker, why am I not allowed to freely purchase and consume pot for my own recreational use? I believe that this is kind of opposite most conservative viewpoints (but, I don't know why) except the more libertarian view that government should fuck out of our lives forever.

What do you think?

Fiscal conservatives must be on something so hopefully you have easier access to it in the future. You're going to need it.

Legalizing pot would provide a wonderful new opportunity for taxation to the left and deprive the narcos of nearly 70 percent of their revenues.

I don't smoke pot but I see no reason why this stupid, unsuccessful, government-growing "war on drugs" needs to go on.

It should be legal but as it isn't by federal law, I'm not sure the states won't be getting a visit from the feds when they start selling it openly.
