Not only did they drag this guy's name through the mud and get reruns of his TV show that preached "family values" off the air...

but in the long run, they don't even care about Bill Cosby, their plan is much more broad than that.

They're using this incident to overturn the statute of limitations on rape accusations. (California has already. prematurely, taken such actions)

Why is that a bad thing?

Well, the wise old sages that created American law did things for a reason, unfortunately they left a map for the Socialists to destroy the country, by simply attempting the opposite.

Do you realize what power they will have once they tear down the limitations laws?

Every time a politician, they don't like, wins some power, all they have to do is put out a casting call to find some EX that don't like him, and is willing to claim "rape", ...from 35 years ago ....45 years ago.

Any true hero of Constitutionalism is going to have enemies.

I estimate I might be one of only 5% of people in the country that realize what this is all about.

That means all of this is going to go the way they want it to, and it's going to be a very long time before people reexamine this policy,

....and probably only after defectors tell the public about deceptive legal cases.

They temporarily relaxed the statute of limitations for child sexual abuse cases in some states and we did not have a constitutional crisis. I agree that we shouldn't do it (and having defended 'repressed memory' cases, I am suspicious of said claims) but I don't see this as Pandora's box being opened either.

I would think it more reasonable to believe that the sexually abused when very young would stand back for years before something triggers them to finally come forward.

As a man I have difficulty accepting when an "adult" woman waits years to come forward to claim rape or sexual harrassment. Im sorry ladies but I find that less believable and I dont think statute of limitations should be increased for Adults in those cases.

Rape cases are hard enough to prove the longer a victim waits to report it. Especially if there are no witnesses. We have statutes of limitations for a reason.

I love mornings. A good cup of coffee, birdsong from beyond my porch, and a vigorous defense of a serial rapist.

I guess that is a vote for no statute of limitations for sex offenses.

A problem with the statute of limitations is that there are 400,000 untested rape kits in the United States that can't be processed due to lack of funding/attention. At some point, they should/will be tested and there should/will be a need to prosecute. Many of those kits have already been in storage for more than a decade. There are current initiatives in a handful of cities (think Chicago may be one) to take funding from the federal government to direct towards testing kits - but it's slow going.

Who is defending him? , I think hes trash and I hope hes found guilty

Well standing wolf liked your post that in itself makes it suspect but at least I got him off his ass and made him attempt to perform a function on this forum besides sniping people that always "DID" treat hm with respect.

F Cosby let him rot in prison

I agree with you, I dont have a problem extending the statute of limitations. Rape kits mean the woman came forward those kits not being tested is a disgrace. My statement was this.

As a male I find it hard to understand why "ADULT" women wait many years to come forward to report abuse, harassment and rape. I stand by the statement that as a male its difficult for me to understand it.

Once again I believe the women that came forward finally with Cosby just like I believed the women that came forward on Bill Clinton, I dont understand why they waited so long

That is not a problem with the statute of limitations. That is a problem with society funding its criminal justice priorities.

Procedural requirements are important and critical for due process and equal protection. I sure don't support Mr. Cosby but I do support the fundamental principles of due process and equal protection.
