This was due about three months ago. But as usual, Trump is flying by the seat of his pants as to foreign policy strategery. Sixteen years? ENOUGH .. no more funding for the Dumpster Fire who ran as a non-interventionist. Declare victory and LEAVE!!

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., demanded that Mattis wrap up his plan for the war, threatening that, "unless we get a strategy from you, you're going to get a strategy from us." He said he had expected the plan in the first 30 to 60 days of the new administration and snapped: "We want a strategy. I don't think that's a helluva lot to ask."

They are late. Trump already gave Mattis authority to do just that.

McCain demanded... McCain and his neocon ilk are the reason America keeps entering needless wars and getting bogged down in them forever. Mattis should have told McCain to go to hell.
