View Full Version : Romney was a fellow Democrat destined to lose by design.

One issue.... pro choice.... he was pro abortion for years and now he suddenly loves the little darlings. He had a version of Obama care that was very much like it. He says now that he spent so much battling for the nomination that he was strapped for cash to put together any kind of defense for Bain capital. He needed to buy airtime for an hour long show instead of all that last minute flying everywhere with the same Sound bites over and over again. It's as if he was trying to lose... :) ...that joke that he told to Diane Sawyer last Friday night that it was time for Obama to pack his bags he said the exact same thing after winning the nomination to the same interviewer!

I have always thought he would've made a very successful Democrat. I'd even say more successful than he was as Governor of MA.

Also, welcome Shakespearean!

the election is over. Now there's only one guy to watch. Is this your idea of distraction? hell. it's only been 2 days. Does he need it already? wEll i guess he does. Drone attack by iran, Benghazi still on the hot seat, punishing Seal team 6, locking up that horrid mini movie maker of muslim malice, no help for victims of Sandy, stock markets in the tank, evidence of voter fraud, raising the debt ceiling,.....well. I guess i see your point.

Why do you make things up, matters? I don't hate anyone. I was a critic of Bush throughout his presidency. He spent like a drunken sailor--and Obama spends like a drugged up sailor....no offense inteded toward sailors.

"Why do you hate him? " Truthy, it's crap like that that makes you look like a flamebaiting troll. Accusing people you don't even know of hate is vile and disingenuous (you'll have to look it up, dear). And you wonder why people here regard you with utter contempt? <clue>

You said you were quitting, so why are you still here?

As in an entirely unknown upper echelon group pulling the strings.... Just think about those last few days and all those jet fuel miles racing around frantically pitching for himself. That harried sleep deprived resonance of a stuck record over and over again. ?? Why didn't he use some of his money for an hour long explanation of what he would do? Telling Obama to pack his bags he came across like a pretentious snob. All by design so he would lose the gig to the president .... and all those dejected faces listening to his conciliatory remarks, people that still believe in a democracy ... what a pity.

It would seem as a lefty you would promote fox news to all righties. I mean with their lying and all would it not make more sense to keep the wool over our eyes.
I like the fact that I can read something beyond "Obama can do no wrong" promulgated by the rest of the big news companies. Secondly if you only rely on one source you are no better than a majority of the so called reporters we have now. News has turned into stories based in opinion with little fact checking. Journalism 101 tells you to find at least two sources but three or more is preferred. That base skill is a dying art.

And I would not get to deep into the "they lied to you" pit, Remember the stories of Bush and his service record, they where reported and they where lies. If you think any major news networks are here to tell you only the truth then you are far more ignorant than I would have believed.

How many schools has the US built in Iraq or Afghanistan, for that matter how many humanitarian missions have been reported by the news. How many elderly white folks died in Katrina versus black folks? I can tell you if you do the research you would find it to be about even, but we only heard one side. Only one story was told. Let’s dig into the Traven Martin case, Zimmerman was guilty according to the media before all of the evidence was brought int. Did you hear about the drug issues and school supsensions of Martin, the picture they used was four years old making him 12 when it was taken Traven was much bigger at the time of his death. In fact ABC had to issue an apology for editing the 911 tapes to suit their spin. Is Zimmerman guilty; dont know I am not the judge nor am I the jury. I find it sad that Americans are not free to roam the country, just as a black man could get into trouble with the white trash areas a white man can get into just as much trouble in the hood, but you don't hear those stories so racism is only one sided right? What about the fuel tanker bombed by the Germans in Afghanistan a few years back. Did you hear anything about the fact that the followed a know terrorist who met up with other known terrorist that stole those trucks. What about the fact that the only confirmed civilian casualty was the original terrorist's son whom he brought along. I can keep going on media bias all day long.

So am I mad at Fox news no not really I take what they say with a grain of salt, maybe a few less grains then I do with MSNBC but that’s getting into the weeds.
We can no longer rely on major media for the facts and that is a shame. Our government is set up on a check and balance system, but you know who has the power to keep them completely honest, major news networks. They have the resources and the power to keep people honest and report fairly and I will praise the first major network that starts doing it. As far as I am concerned the Colbert report is more accurate.

No, I guarantee you he was not smarter than I think. he wanted to be baseball Commissioner but the teams didn't want him so his daddy arranged some oilmen to back him in politics...can't have the Bush name fail you know. He became governor then president and Cheney ran everything from a direct line to daddy Bush. Dubya was a patsy.

Hmm, but daddy told dubya, don't go to Iraq, son.

That is the public perception. In truth daddy was so pissed that Sadam had made a giant mural of his face and had his personal guard march on it every morning at the palace, he told Cheney to remove it my any means. I can tell you that this information came from a [removed for safety] who had been at the State department under 4 presidents and he never lies...never. Now the public got the story you are telling, but it isn't the truth.

So essentially the election was over with Romney's nomination. Brilliant! No wonder he was so focused during those debates with Newt Gingrich. Everything since then has been 1 big act... Grandstanding to make people think that the political process was working. The President Elect and Mitt Romney in orange jumpsuits in federal prison. Treason to conspire to fix an election. Too bad that it will never happen.... Life goes on blah blah blah election is over blah blah blah Get over it blah blah blah.

What characteristics would such a source show in order to clearly identify them as such? How do we know when the facts are truly the facts? (Ok... sorry, that's three questions.)

Doesn't have to be. It's as if he was trying to lose..that was my point. He wasn't the ultra conservative Republican...but shifted there for support and contributions....only to veer back to the moderate middle to appeal to fence sitters/undecideds. Not the candidate that alot of sincere people wanted. Look back to his entry to the RNC after he won the nomination and the half-hearted polite applause by those in attendance. That should have sent a message. What about a conspiracy that had the outcome planned in advance? And everything after M.R. won the nomination was grandstanding to satisfy everyone that the election process was in progress and that they would have a real choice in the matter.
